I visited Myeonjumak, a Jeju Eco Land favorite, for some gogi guksu (meat noodle soup) 🍜 Myeonjumak sits close to both the Saryeoni Forest Path and Eco Land, so it's a great spot for a meal after some sightseeing. When you're traveling around Jeju you're often looking for somewhere to eat near the tourist spots, and this location made it easy to plan a route around Eco Land and Saryeoni together 〰️

## Restaurant size, parking, and group or family visits

The restaurant is quite spacious and there's plenty of parking, so I didn't have to worry about finding a spot. It also looked like a good option for family visits or larger group meals.

Inside, the space is wide and kept clean. The tables have generous spacing, so it didn't feel cramped even with several people around, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant 🙌 In fact, group after group kept coming in while I was eating.

There were plenty of baby chairs too, so it seems like a good place for families traveling around Jeju with a baby 👏

### The amenities on hand

What stood out most at this Eco Land favorite was how many convenience items they had ready ‼️ Radish tea, hair ties, disposable aprons, baby chairs, baby utensils, baby food, a microwave, a phone charging corner, stain remover, even disposable mouthwash — they really had it all ✨ Having everything you might need ready to grab during the meal showed a lot of thoughtfulness from the owner. Especially when dining out with a kid, you need more items than you'd expect, so having baby food, baby utensils, and a microwave on hand seemed genuinely useful for families 👍

## What's on the Myeonjumak menu

This Eco Land favorite also has a varied menu. From noodle dishes like gogi guksu (meat noodle soup), anchovy guksu, and bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles) to hearty guk-bap (soup with rice) and side dishes, there's something for everyone.

![Myeonjumak menu board listing gogi guksu and anchovy guksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-05-3hxu3-900.webp)

By the way, Myeonjumak's dombe pork is apparently made with 100% Jeju black pork 🐖 When eating gogi guksu or dombe pork in Jeju, I always pay attention to whether they use Jeju-raised pork, so knowing they use Jeju black pork was reassuring. They even list the time the dombe pork is boiled 🕖 If your timing lines up, you can catch it freshly boiled — worth keeping in mind if you're ordering dombe pork.

Ordering and payment are both handled through the kiosk at your table 💸 We ordered anchovy guksu and meat bibim guksu, plus mul mandu (water dumplings) as a side.

### Basic side dishes and self-serve bar

The basic side dishes were kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) and napa cabbage kimchi.

It was a simple side dish lineup that paired well with the noodle dishes, and it was convenient that you could refill anything low from the self-serve bar.

![Anchovy broth prepared at the self-serve bar](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-11-prb2d-900.webp)

There was even anchovy broth ready at the self-serve bar to help yourself to. We grabbed some and enjoyed it warm alongside our meal 〰️

![Jeju makgeolli ordered as a drink alongside the noodles](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-12-662tn-900.webp)
*Jeju makgeolli ₩3,000*

The menu looked good enough that we also ordered a bottle of Jeju makgeolli (rice wine) 🍶 It's reasonably priced, so it's an easy way to have a light drink alongside a bowl of noodles in Jeju. If you want to enjoy good food with a glass of makgeolli during your Jeju trip, this would work well.

## Meat bibim guksu for ₩10,000: portion and taste

First up was my meat bibim guksu 🍜 It looked more generous than expected right from the start — getting this much noodles for just ₩10,000 felt like great value.

![Close-up of the meat bibim guksu loaded with vegetables](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-14-26775-900.webp)

![Meat topping on the meat bibim guksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-15-uixv4-900.webp)

It was loaded with vegetables — carrots, bean sprouts, cabbage, lettuce — and the meat topping wasn't just a piece or two, but six whole pieces. With both vegetables and meat in the mix, it was far more filling than just noodles alone!!

![Meat bibim guksu mixed with seasoning](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-16-1yg3m-900.webp)

![A bite of meat bibim guksu with noodles and vegetables](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-17-1s1bl-900.webp)

The bibim guksu is tasty just mixed and eaten on its own, but personally I loved wrapping it with the dombe pork. Piled onto the chewy noodles with vegetables and meat, each bite was satisfyingly full 👍 The seasoning is what really makes or breaks a bibim guksu, and this one had a savory, delicious sauce that hit the spot. It wasn't overly spicy or salty, so it paired well with all the ingredients and the meat too 🧡

## Anchovy guksu for ₩8,000: noodles and broth

My companion wanted something lighter, so we ordered the anchovy guksu 🍲 It came in an anchovy broth topped with carrots, bean sprouts, fried tofu, and green onion.

![Dongnam noodles visible in the anchovy guksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-19-8qluo-900.webp)

Apparently they use Dongnam noodles rather than regular somyeon, and you could really tell — the noodles had a chewy bite and great texture! Texture matters a lot for noodles, and these held up well instead of going soft too quickly. The broth is made with domestic anchovy and dipori (dried herring), and it came through clean but deep in flavor 👏 It would suit anyone who prefers a light, clean broth over something more intense.

### One drawback: the broth temperature

One thing that fell short was the broth temperature. On our visit, it seemed like they weren't doing toryeom (pouring hot broth over noodles to warm them), because the broth was noticeably lukewarm rather than hot. Personally, I like my noodle soup piping hot, so this was a bit disappointing 🥲 We ended up asking them to reheat the broth. The flavor itself was fine, so I think if this one thing were fixed, the anchovy guksu would be even better 🙌

## Side order: mul mandu

Lastly, we tried the mul mandu (water dumplings) we ordered as a side 🥟 They came topped with seaweed and green onion, with meat broth poured over them to keep them moist.

![Close-up of mul mandu with meat broth poured over](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-22-1ox9w-900.webp)

![A piece of mul mandu dipped in soy sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy/myeonjumak-jeju-bibim-noodle-anchovy-23-1c17n-900.webp)

They were seasoned just enough to eat on their own and were delicious as is~! Depending on your taste, dipping them in the soy sauce that came alongside gave them a different flavor to enjoy. A good side to add and share when just ordering noodles feels like it's not quite enough.

## In summary

Overall, Myeonjumak is well located for a meal after visiting Eco Land or the Saryeoni Forest Path, and with its spacious interior and ample parking, it's a good option for family visits too. What stood out most was the range of amenities on hand for anyone visiting with a child — baby chairs, baby utensils, baby food, a microwave, and more 🙌 The prices are reasonable too, so it's a great match for anyone looking for a budget-friendly meal while traveling in Jeju. If you're craving Jeju-style gogi guksu after touring Eco Land or the Saryeoni Forest Path, I'd recommend stopping by this Jeju Eco Land favorite, Myeonjumak, for a good value meal 👍
