Today I found a really, really pretty café hidden in the mountains of Ulju, Ulsan — wow. There are so many large cafés in Ulsan, but Ulju and Eonyang have so much open land that there are a ton of beautiful mountain cafés out there. This one might just be the best. The interior is unique, the parking lot is huge, and behind the café there's a walking trail up the mountain to a viewpoint — plus a little pond inside where frogs actually live, so you can even try catching them. The interior is really pretty — high ceilings, and something about it feels shaped like a ship! The ceiling is unusual too. Honestly the interior surprised me, it's that pretty. Facing forward there's a big window wall with a mountain view, but it was packed so it was hard to grab a seat there haha. Still, there are outdoor tables in back, and since the weather's been nice lately, I tried the outdoor tables haha. There's also a separate nursing room, which is great — it has a diaper-changing table so you can visit with babies without worrying about other people's eyes. There were unusual art pieces scattered around too, and they were pretty. Still, some tasty breads were left, so I grabbed some! There were tons and tons of people haha. True to a bakery café, there were plenty of bread types and they all looked delicious. Now that the weather's warmed up, there were a lot of people outside — plenty who'd come with their dogs too. This is the pond where frogs live — you can watch kids come with nets to catch them. There's not much chance to see frogs these days, so the kids loved catching them. About 15 minutes up the back trail, a really pretty viewpoint appears! The path up is well maintained, and although the climb is a bit tough since it's fairly high, once you reach the top it's genuinely beautiful haha. ## Is MUG in Ulju worth the trip? Final verdict Today I had such a fun time at MUG, this large Ulsan bakery café that shows off a gorgeous interior alongside nature. The breads were really tasty, and honestly the café itself is just beautiful — a pretty garden, a pond, and even a viewpoint up the mountain behind it.
