Today I visited a fire-oven grilled fish restaurant newly opened in Yongwon, Hwadeogeuro Gan Godeungeo. I'd already been to their Myeonggok branch, which is part of the same chain, and I was really satisfied with the Yongwon branch too! Generously portioned mackerel grilled crisp-and-juicy in a 500°C fire oven, plus a bountiful self-bar with bibimbap, japchae, tteokbokki, tofu kimchi, and sungnyung (scorched rice tea)! Here's my review after eating well at Hwadeogeuro Gan Godeungeo, a fire-oven grilled fish restaurant in Yongwon where you can eat without breaking the bank! ## Hwadeogeuro Gan Godeungeo in Yongwon-dong: hours and parking Hwadeogeuro Gan Godeungeo Changwon Yongwon Branch is open daily from 11am to 9pm, and there's a private lot right in front of the restaurant for parking. You don't have to worry about parking at all even if you drive there. Whether it's lunch or dinner, you can visit anytime without any hassle! The regular table seats are comfortable with wide spacing between tables, and there's also a private room space, making it perfect for reserving ahead for family meals, gatherings, or work dinners. The main dish, the grilled mackerel, arrived shortly after, and having been grilled instantly at a high 500°C in the fire oven, it had absolutely none of the fishy smell that fish can have. The outside was crisp like a cracker while the inside was packed with juices and fat, pure moistness. The mackerel was seriously delicious haha. It was so delicious that even after I was full, I kept eating! At home, it's hard to cook grilled fish because of the smell and smoke, but this is a genuine favorite I want to keep visiting whenever I'm craving grilled fish.
