## Where is Donbegi Gwang-an Branch, and how does it look?

I found Donbegi tucked inside a Minrak-dong alley. Once the evening lights came on, the mood was pretty great! The wood-toned exterior added a warm touch, and the pig-logo sign caught my eye right away.

I took my time browsing the menu board at the entrance. It was divided into à la carte items and sets, which made choosing easy. There was even a wine pairing option! Sets also looked like a good call for a group visit.

Donbegi Gwang-an Branch had a sign confirming pets are welcome inside. Great news if you're hunting for a dog-friendly restaurant in Gwangalli! Each table had a round grill plate, and the seating gaps felt comfortable rather than cramped.

The whole space had a wood-toned vibe. Signs about the aging process were posted on the walls. The meat gets pre-seared in a separate area — impressive, giving it a smoky flavor before it even hits your table.

There was a separate wine cellar on one side, and I could actually see the meat inside the aging fridge. The self-serve bar had several side dishes neatly arranged — convenient, since you just take what you need.

The basic side dishes came out light and clean. The kimchi and pickled vegetables went well with the meat! The shredded scallions had a generous, spicy seasoning, and a clear bean sprout soup was served alongside.

## Ordering pork shoulder and snowflake pork belly for 50,400 won

Ordering was done through the table tablet. I chose one pork shoulder and two snowflake pork bellies. The total came to 50,400 won, and I could check the quantities and prices right away.

The pre-seared meat arrived with vegetables. Those clear grill marks stirred up my appetite right away. Both the shoulder and belly were pretty thick, and I grilled king oyster mushrooms and scallions alongside them.

## How the aged pork tasted off the grill

Once it hit the grill plate, a savory aroma spread right away. I cut it into bite-sized pieces and cooked it slowly. Since it was pre-seared, the grilling time was short — and the shinier the surface got, the more appetizing it looked!

The pork shoulder was thick yet fairly moist. There was still juice left in it, so it wasn't dry at all. The snowflake pork belly showed evenly distributed fat layers — golden brown outside, moist inside.

Eating it with grilled peppers cut the richness. Adding shredded scallions made the flavor even more distinct! Finding good pork belly at a Gwangalli meat restaurant was a win — and with so many tables, it looked great for group visits too.

## Is Donbegi Gwang-an Branch good for a group dinner?

It also worked well as a Gwangalli spot for a team dinner with pork belly. Being pet-friendly was another appealing point. The grilling area had plenty of room, so it felt comfortable eating with a group.

## Finishing with cold kimchi kalguksu (noodle soup)

To wrap things up, I finished with cold kimchi kalguksu (noodle soup). The red kimchi broth got my appetite going right away. Cucumber and seaweed flakes on top made it even more refreshing. That cold broth was exactly right after the meat!

The noodles were chewy and the broth leaned tangy — a great way to cut through the greasy aftertaste. This place stands out in my memory as a dog-friendly restaurant in Gwangalli, and between the aged meat and the overall setup, I was quite satisfied. I'd love to stop by again next time I'm in Minrak-dong!
