After work I was looking for somewhere near Sadang Station to meet a friend for good food and a glass of wine or a highball while catching up, and I ended up at Dophan, a bar with really nice atmosphere 🍷

Dophan sits within a 10-minute walk of Sadang Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit. If you're driving, though, note that there's no parking at the building itself, so you'll need a nearby public or private lot.

## Inside Dophan: atmosphere and where to sit

Inside, Dophan felt dim and softly lit overall, clean yet sophisticated. The main hall has 2–4 person tables spaced comfortably apart, plus a bar table and a private group room, making it a good fit for company dinners, wedding-invitation gatherings, and other group meetups ✨

I took a seat at the bar table, and even on a weekday evening the place filled up fast. Since you can book through the Naver or Catch Table apps, I'd recommend reserving ahead for a stress-free visit.

With cold dishes, pasta and gnocchi, mains, and desserts, there's everything from light bites to more filling plates, perfect for a meal paired with drinks. Alongside red, white, and sparkling wine, there's whisky and a range of highballs — and every highball can be ordered non-alcoholic, so people who don't drink or need to drive can still comfortably join in 🍷

After being seated, water and cutlery were set out — neat and tidy, matching the clean, polished mood.

The seasonal fruit balsamic burrata came with green grapes, peaches, figs, and dried persimmon alongside burrata cheese and pistachios — such a pretty, colorful plate 🍇🍑

The soft, nutty burrata cheese combined with the sweetness of the fruit and the tang of the balsamic made for a light, refreshing bite that paired really well with wine and highballs ✨

You eat the pasta as is, without mixing it — the thin cappellini strands soak up the perilla oil beautifully, filling your mouth with that nutty aroma I love, and the savoriness of the beef paired with the fresh dressed greens came together perfectly. So good ♥
