## In short

Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch is a shabu-shabu and sushi buffet on Suam-ro in Yaeum-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. A couple — one who loves sushi, one who loves bunsik (Korean street snacks) — worked through the vegetable broth shabu-shabu, the sushi counter, the bunsik corner and the chocolate fondue dessert bar. Weekday lunch is 24,900 won, and Shabre Garden keeps both sushi devotees and shabu-shabu devotees happy at one table.

I went to Shabre Garden, a shabu-shabu spot in Yaeum-dong, Ulsan that's been getting a lot of buzz lately.

## The shabu-shabu corner: broth, beef and vegetables

Shabre Garden offers vegetable broth and hongtang (spicy red) broth, and you can order half-and-half too. For shabu-shabu meat, they have beef neck and beef short rib pieces.

There was a great variety of vegetables to add to the shabu-shabu, like bok choy, water celery, and mung bean sprouts, along with glass noodles, dangmyeon and kalguksu noodles — it was fun just picking what to grab.

There were also vegetables ready for making summer rolls, and all my favorite mushrooms were there too — wood ear, oyster, king oyster, enoki, you name it, haha.

## Buffet corner: bunsik, Korean and Chinese dishes with unlimited draft beer

Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch has unlimited draft beer refills 🍻 — and I was so upset I hadn't realized this before driving there 🥹. The buffet corner had such a wide variety it barely felt like a shabu-shabu buffet.

![Buffet corner with Korean and Chinese dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-07-4xckd-900.webp)

From bunsik (Korean street snacks) to Korean dishes, sushi, and Chinese menu items, there was something for kids and adults alike — it honestly felt more like a full buffet than a shabu-shabu buffet!

![Bunsik corner with tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-08-6pub2-900.webp)

They had tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and kimchi fried rice too, which the kids definitely loved.

There was smoked duck stew, jjikoba-style chicken, soy sauce bulgogi, and shrimp dakgangjeong (fried chicken), plus sweet and sour pork, buffalo wings, and mala xiang guo!

Braised pork ribs, mushroom cream gnocchi, seafood stir-fried udon, and pyeonbaek-jjim (steamed in cypress wood) — there were so many options it was actually exciting to choose, haha.

At the salad bar, kids' tableware was all set out too, which made it feel like a really family-friendly place to bring a baby.

### Dipping sauces, salads and fried dishes

Shabre Garden's own dipping sauce corner has a wide range of sauces you can grab to match your taste, haha. Personally, I think chili sauce and peanut sauce go really well with summer rolls, haha.

On the other side, there were various salads — bocconcini salad, chicken salad, sweet pumpkin salad, and more.

On one side there was a range of fried food that goes so well with bunsik — fried chicken, cheese balls and cheese sticks, kimmari (seaweed-wrapped glass noodle rolls), french fries, and more.

Besides kalguksu noodles, there was even a porridge corner to make your own juk!

### What's on the sushi buffet counter

Another strong point of Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch, I think, is the sushi buffet corner!!! It was definitely tastier than Kuu Kuu, haha. There was a wide variety of sushi to choose from!! If you like both sushi and shabu-shabu, this place is even better to visit.

## Dessert corner: chocolate fondue and affogato

For dessert, there was fruit, pudding, and even tiramisu, haha.

![Corner with plum tea, juice and soft drinks](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-17-1x5ng-900.webp)

On one side there was plum tea, green grape juice, orange juice and soft drinks.

![Juice dispensers at the drink corner](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-18-k5p0v-900.webp)

![Coffee machine and ice cream machine](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-19-1xbwd-900.webp)

There was a coffee machine and an ice cream machine too, so I highly recommend making an affogato 👍🏻

![Cereal toppings corner for snow flake bingsu](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-20-1d2ck-900.webp)

There were also cereal toppings for making your own snow flake bingsu (shaved ice dessert).

The moment I saw this chocolate fondue, I clapped like a seal 👏🏻

![Chocolate fondue at the dessert corner](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-21-g701c-900.webp)

![Bread corner with croissants, coffee buns and waffles](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-22-nb5s5-900.webp)

There were croissants, coffee buns, soboro bread and waffles, so dipping them straight into the chocolate fondue right next to it — I could just about pass out 🥹

## Is Shabre Garden worth it for a couple?

We went with both halves of our broth as vegetable broth, and it was genuinely so tasty 👍🏻

My sushi-loving partner brought back plate after plate of sushi, haha. I'm a bunsik lover, so I made sure to try every kind of bunsik there was.

![Homemade summer rolls and plated food](https://img.superchart.com/images/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple/shabrgarden-ulsan-sushi-buffet-couple-24-1e5gd-900.webp)

The summer rolls were even tastier since all the vegetables were fresh, haha. If you're looking for a place where both a sushi fanatic and a shabu-shabu fanatic — like the two of us — can walk away happy, I recommend Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch 🤍
