## In short

Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is a Korean restaurant near Incheon Nonhyeon Station serving bulppyeojjim (spicy braised pork bones) and gamjatang (pork bone and potato stew). A couple visited on a Sunday at 11am and ordered the small Cheongchun bulppyeojjim (32,000 won) at spice level 1 with gyeranjjim (steamed egg custard, 4,000 won) and fried rice for two (6,000 won), finding meat that slipped off the bone under a sweet, smoky-spicy sauce. With a parking coupon for the public street lot in front, Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang is an easy drive-up spot for a family or work lunch.

Today I went with my wife to Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch.

![A couple visiting Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-02-1y5tp-900.webp)

I've had ppyeo haejangguk (bone hangover soup) and gamjatang (potato bone soup) plenty of times, but it had been a while since I had bulppyeojjim — braised pork bones simmered in spicy sauce — so I was looking forward to this visit.

Cutting to the chase: the meat was tender, the portion was generous, and the sweet-spicy sauce with its grilled-meat aroma worked really well together. Adding the steamed egg and fried rice on top made it a properly full meal!

## Where is Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch, and where do you park?

Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is close to Incheon Nonhyeon Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit too.

We came by car, and there's a street-level public parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so we parked there. After the meal they gave us a parking coupon, which was a nice way to ease the parking cost.

There's also parking space behind the store, but using the public lot out front like we did looked just as convenient.

## Sunday 11am visit: inside the restaurant and what's on the table

We visited around 11am on a Sunday, and there was no waiting when we arrived — we walked right in.

The restaurant overall had a clean, pleasant vibe, and the spacing between tables was comfortable enough for a relaxed meal.

They also had amenities like aprons and disposable gloves ready, and there was even a phone charging spot in one corner.

It's a small thing, but having these conveniences in place makes eating there quietly more comfortable. Above all, the owner was extremely kind from start to finish, which made the meal even more pleasant.

## Menu and prices: how do you pick your spice level?

The menu at Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch turned out to be more varied than I expected — not just bulppyeojjim but also gamjatang, gungjung ppyeojjim, ppyeo haejangguk, and ppyeo kalguksu.

![Menu board listing bulppyeojjim and gamjatang](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-09-56m6x-900.webp)

There was also a separate solo-portion menu, so it looked like a good option not just for group meals but for eating alone too. What we ordered that day was

- Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim (small) ₩32,000
- Steamed egg (gyeranjjim) ₩4,000
- Fried rice for two ₩6,000
- Cider ₩3,000

You can choose the spice level for bulppyeojjim, and we went with level 1.

## Small Cheongchun bulppyeojjim: how were the pork and glass noodles?

![Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim (small) topped with big chunks of bone](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-10-3f6u-900.webp)

After a short wait, out came the bulppyeojjim, piled high with big chunks of bone.

![A full spread of bulppyeojjim braised in sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-11-dcpwc-900.webp)

![Bulppyeojjim with glass noodles and enoki mushrooms](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-12-8v465-900.webp)

The portion looked pretty generous even in photos, and eating it, there was even more meat on the bones than I expected.

![Tender meat picked off the bone](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-13-1gcvg-900.webp)

What I liked most was how tender the meat was! Picking it apart, it came off the bone easily, and it wasn't dry at all, so it went great with the sauce.

Level 1, which we ordered, wasn't just plain spicy — it leaned more toward sweet-spicy with a subtle grilled-meat aroma layered in. The sauce was a bit intense in a way that kept pulling my chopsticks back for more. The meat alone was tasty, but for me the best part was eating the sauce-soaked glass noodles and enoki mushrooms together with the meat. There was also rice cake and sweet potato mixed in, so it was fun to pick through and find different things between bites of meat.

## Gyeranjjim for 4,000 won to cool the heat

![Steamed egg ordered alongside the bulppyeojjim](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-14-8nste-900.webp)

Ordering the steamed egg alongside the bulppyeojjim was a good call too. Taking a bite of the soft, savory steamed egg reset the spiciness lingering in my mouth, and then I'd go right back for the bulppyeojjim.

The combo of spicy bulppyeojjim plus soft steamed egg worked better than I expected. If you're not someone who handles very spicy food easily, ordering steamed egg alongside it seems like a good idea.

## Finishing with fried rice in the pan

After making good progress on the bulppyeojjim, we added fried rice too.

![Fried rice made with bulppyeojjim sauce set aside](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-15-15sib-900.webp)

The staff member fried the rice tableside and set aside a bit of the bulppyeojjim sauce on the side. The fried rice itself had a nice savory flavor, and adding a little of that spicy sauce on the side made it even better.

![Fried rice nearly finished off](https://img.superchart.com/images/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one/cheongchun-bulbbyejjim-nonhyeon-spicy-level-one-16-1bfaa-900.webp)

Even though we were pretty full already, we ended up finishing almost all of it. If you're getting bulppyeojjim, I'd recommend finishing with fried rice too.

## Verdict: a filling group meal in Nonhyeon-dong, Incheon

On this first visit to Cheongchun Bulppyeojjim Gamjatang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch, the main dish itself was satisfying — tender meat that fell off the bone easily, a generous portion, and a sweet-spicy sauce with that grilled-meat aroma. The restaurant was clean, the food came out without a long wait, and above all, the friendly service stuck with me.

It's easy to reach from Nonhyeon Station and has parking available, so it seems like a good spot for a family meal or a dinner gathering with coworkers. If I have plans with coworkers in Nonhyeon-dong again, I'd recommend this place. It seems well suited to anyone who likes spicy food or is looking for a place to eat heartily with a group. Next time, I'd like to try the gamjatang instead of the bulppyeojjim.

Would I return: Yes
