## In short

Theme Park Toon is an indoor experience-based theme park on Eunsu-gil in Jeju City, Jeju. Visiting on a rainy Sunday afternoon at 4:30 with kids, the writer spent 2 hours moving through media art zones, a coloring-to-screen experience, floor touch games, and a Bread Barbershop themed space. Verdict: with more time, 3 hours is easy to fill, making it a solid backup for rainy days in Jeju.

## A rainy Sunday afternoon, a last-minute search for indoor fun

I was trying to figure out where to take the kids over the weekend, and since it happened to be raining, I looked for somewhere we could have fun indoors and ended up at Theme Park Toon.

In Jeju, outdoor plans often change completely depending on the weather, and that day it suddenly started raining on Sunday afternoon, so instead of our original plan we looked for an indoor place.

Theme Park Toon is located on the 1st floor of 69 Eunsu-gil, Jeju City, Jeju, and it's not too far from downtown, so getting there was fine. It's especially close to the Nohyeong area, so I thought it was a good spot to stop by if you're traveling in Jeju or need to spend time with kids in Jeju City. We visited around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and since it was a rainy weekend, quite a few families with kids were there.

My kids normally love Bread Barbershop, so I already had high expectations before we went in, and once inside they loved it even more than I expected haha

## The media art space where the kids stayed longest

From the start they were busy looking at everything, but the place they lingered longest was the media art space. 👍🏻 They already liked media art and screen-based experiences, but here there were elements they could move and participate in directly, which made it way more fun than just watching a screen.

Even after they'd played for a long time, whenever I suggested moving on they kept shouting 'just a little more!' so we ended up staying longer than planned there.😂

### The experience where your own colored drawing shows up on screen

One of the kids' favorite spots was where you color a drawing yourself and then it appears on screen. After they colored their own drawings and saw them show up on the screen, they stared at it in amazement for a while.

![Screen experience showing a colored-in drawing](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-theme-park-toon-rainy-day-kids/jeju-theme-park-toon-rainy-day-kids-09-14a6f-900.webp)

When you touch the drawing on the screen, it moves upward like it's floating, and that was apparently so fun that they kept touching it again and again haha. 'That's my drawing!' they kept saying, so delighted to see their own artwork on screen. Since the result was something they'd made themselves, they seemed to play with a lot more focus than simple coloring alone.

### Floor touch games, a photo zone, and even a claw machine

There were also games in between where you touch the floor, and this apparently triggered their competitive side too, as they ran around it energetically together. There was also a space where taking a photo would show up on screen, so we snapped a few photos passing by, and with claw-machine-style fun elements scattered around too, they weren't stuck on one activity but kept moving around trying different things.

Kids just stop in their tracks the moment they spot something like this haha. 'Let's just do this and go' turns into finding something else, trying that too... and before we knew it, way more time had passed than expected.

## Finishing up in the Bread Barbershop themed space

Near the end there was a space decorated in the kids' beloved Bread Barbershop theme, and the reaction here was fantastic too. With their favorite characters right there, they just couldn't walk past. They especially loved climbing on top of what looked like a sausage(?) to play haha. We got a few photos in, and the kids were reluctant to leave even at the very end.

## How long can you play? 2 hours, 3 hours if you have the time

We had a dinner appointment that evening so we were a bit rushed and left after about 2 hours of fun, but I thought that if you visit without being pressed for time, kids could easily have fun for about 3 hours.

![Interior of Theme Park Toon after 2 hours of exploring](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-theme-park-toon-rainy-day-kids/jeju-theme-park-toon-rainy-day-kids-16-1tf79-900.webp)

Even if different kids like different activities, there's a wide range to catch their interest — from media art to the coloring experience, games, the photo space, the claw machine, and the character space — so they didn't seem to get bored moving around. My kids especially loved the media art and spent quite a lot of time there, and they really loved the experience of drawing something themselves and seeing it on screen. So if you're looking for somewhere to go with kids in Jeju, I think a space like this is a solid option.

On a rainy day like this one, walking around outdoor attractions isn't easy, so this feels like a place worth remembering when you're looking for indoor things to do with kids in Jeju. Traveling with kids in Jeju often means plans suddenly change because of the weather, so knowing one indoor spot like this really puts your mind at ease. Above all, I liked that there's a place where kids can play this long without traveling far from Jeju City.

Being close to the Nohyeong area, it also seems like a good stop when you're in Jeju City and it's raining or you have some spare time. We only played for about 2 hours because of our dinner plans, but next time I think it'd be nice to give ourselves more time.

> Even as they were leaving, the kids kept saying, 'Let's come again next time!'

We visited after wondering where to spend a rainy weekend afternoon with the kids, and they had way more fun than expected, which made us happy too — that was our visit to Theme Park Toon :)
