Today I'm introducing a Jeju course-dining restaurant, Nansan-ri Restaurant.

## Nansan-ri Restaurant's exterior, a single-story building in a quiet village alley

It sits inside a quiet village, a single-story building tucked away. Emotive stone walls, green trees, and warm lighting come together neatly right from the entrance, giving off the feeling of arriving at a small vacation house. Walking into the alley, I honestly wondered if a restaurant could really be back here — it had such a serene, hideaway feel.

## Interior mood and seating

Open the door and a cozy, dim lighting wraps the space in warmth. It's an open-kitchen setup so you can watch the cooking, and the tables are spaced generously — perfect for chatting comfortably with your company while focusing on the meal.

## Lunch course and dinner course, signature menu makeup

The restaurant runs separate lunch and dinner courses. Lunch goes from bracken-fern butter baguette to an egg dish, salad, black pork tenderloin or octopus steak, pasta, and dessert, while dinner offers a fuller fine-dining course with added seafood, Korean beef, and striploin steak.

## What I ordered: the lunch set, main dish Jeju black pork tenderloin

We ordered the lunch set with Jeju black pork tenderloin as the main. The course opened with a baguette pre-meal bread served with bracken-fern (gosari) butter. The bread was crisp outside and soft inside, and spreading on the butter infused with the deep flavor of Jeju bracken fern left a strong impression from the very first bite. The distinct aroma of the bracken paired perfectly with the butter's nuttiness, and I finished the bread in no time.

Next came a soft egg dish with mushroom cream and caviar. The texture of the egg, soft like a poached egg, layered beautifully with a sweet-and-sour tomato sauce and a rich mushroom cream. The salty caviar tied the finish together perfectly, lifting the whole dish's sense of luxury.

The salad served next had crisp romaine with Caesar dressing, crispy bacon, and a generous pile of Parmesan cheese, refreshing the palate nicely.

### Main — Jeju black pork tenderloin with roasted rosemary potatoes

Finally, the main: Jeju black pork tenderloin with roasted rosemary potatoes. It looked sous-vide cooked, with a bright pink cross-section, no gamey smell, and very moist.

The tenderness was clear the moment the knife touched it, and one bite melted away with barely any need to chew — the meat quality was superb. The cream sauce served alongside was a real treat too.

The crispy roasted potatoes, carrying a faint rosemary aroma, were also an excellent accompaniment.

### Basil pasta and chorizo oil pasta, then panna cotta

Following the main, the basil pasta and chorizo oil pasta had a salty, spicy umami soaked right into the noodles, cutting cleanly through any richness. The noodles were cooked just right to al dente, so I happily cleared the plate to the very last forkful.

The meal closed with a soft, sweet panna cotta dessert — the pudding's springy texture and gentle vanilla aroma left the palate refreshed, a perfect final note. Overall the seasoning and pacing of every dish were great, and I finished the meal thoroughly satisfied ♡.

## In a word, Nansan-ri Restaurant is

> A refined fine-dining spot that delicately brings out the natural flavors of Jeju ingredients.

## Overall review

Thanks to the well-composed course and excellent service, I got to enjoy a special meal during my Jeju trip. For anyone wanting a quiet, tasteful atmosphere with a high-quality sit-down meal at an easy price, Nansan-ri Restaurant, a Jeju course-dining favorite, seems like a fantastic choice.
