Theme Park Toon Jeju is a newly revamped indoor attraction in Jeju, on the site that used to be Sumokwon Theme Park. I’d heard it had changed into Theme Park Toon and had wanted to visit, so I finally went with the kids.

I didn’t really know which characters would be there, so I looked it up beforehand and found Bread Barbershop. The kids love those characters, so our excitement immediately went way up. Even the outside of the building had webtoon-style comic art, which made us weirdly more excited before we even went in.

## Spacious parking

Theme Park Toon Jeju has a wide parking area in front of the building, so it was easy to visit by car. We went around lunchtime on a weekend, but there were still quite a few empty spaces, so we parked right away.

Admission to Theme Park Toon was listed as ₩18,000 for adults, ₩16,000 for teens, and ₩13,000 for children. There is also a separate Jeju resident discount, so be sure to check on site if that applies to you.

## A character paradise from the entrance

![Character display at the entrance](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-05-pzj8j-966.webp)

As soon as we entered, large character displays set the Theme Park Toon mood right away. The kids were busy looking for the characters they knew, and I liked the first impression too—the space had clearly been put together with more care than I expected. We came while looking for an indoor attraction in Jeju, and the kids’ reaction from the start made me feel we’d chosen well.

## Vibrant media spaces

![Media space featuring a sequence of character images](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-06-8nro9-966.webp)

Further inside, the mood changes completely into a series of spaces styled like media art. Character images fill the walls, and when you take a photo, your own character pops right into a picture frame! So fascinating.

The second space in particular was much more spectacular in person than in photos, with a reflective floor and colored lights. I thought there would only be cute characters, but there were fantasy-like spaces too, so there was more to look at than I expected.

## Hands-on fun that got the kids excited

![Kids enjoying the indoor activity zone](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-08-1qddj-966.webp)

Theme Park Toon also had activity zones where kids could run around and play, rather than just spaces to look at. There were games where you moved by stepping on lit-up floor squares, along with screen-based activities, so the kids played here for quite a while. They especially had a blast running around as if they were competing with each other~

Among indoor attractions in Jeju, having a space where they could really move their bodies meant there was no time for the kids to get bored.

## My face as a comic character

There was also a machine that turned your face into a comic-style character when you took a photo. It didn’t end with just seeing it on screen—you could even make it into a T-shirt if you liked the result, which seemed like a fun souvenir. The kids were amazed to see how their faces changed, and I kept watching because I was secretly curious about the results too. Having even this experience tied into the characters made it more memorable.

## Character zones that change with every scene

![Playful character-zone display](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-13-9eic6-725.webp)

The deeper we went, the more the atmosphere kept changing, which made it fun to explore. From a giant hand designed to look as though it was breaking through a wall to characters sitting among comic books...

I expected only cute characters, but there were also slightly fantastical and playful touches, making it more varied than I thought. The kids stayed longer around familiar characters, while I enjoyed seeing how each area had been designed.

## Bread Barbershop character zone

![Bread Barbershop character-themed space](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-14-5jv5e-725.webp)

The Bread Barbershop area the kids had been most excited about was much more fully realized than I expected. It wasn’t just a few character figures standing around—the alley-like backdrop and even the inside of the shop made it feel as if we’d stepped into the comic.

![Bread Barbershop salon-themed space](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-15-1iucz-966.webp)

The Bread Barbershop salon space in particular was impressively well made, so the kids spent the longest time here.

## From romance comics to fantasy

![Themed space with a romance-comic atmosphere](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-16-1hthe-966.webp)

![Fantasy-style character exhibition space](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-17-1qvu2-725.webp)

Along with cute characters, there were spaces with a romance-comic feel and a fantasy atmosphere, which were fun to see. The kids preferred the familiar characters, but I actually found these moods more unusual and fun.

## A nostalgic Murteol Dosa

![Murteol Dosa character-themed space](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-18-1j8ms-725.webp)

The Murteol Dosa area was something adults would probably be happier to see than kids. The kids didn’t know it, so their reaction wasn’t huge, but it brought back old memories for me and had me looking around for quite a while.

## A souvenir shop full of characters

Near the end of the visit, there was also a souvenir shop with various small goods, so naturally we took another look around.

## Second-floor café and making experiences

![Second-floor café and making-experience space](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-19-1057u-966.webp)

![Second-floor café for a break after the visit](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-21-9ut1x-966.webp)

On the second floor, there was a café where we could take a break, plus cookie-making and jelly-making experiences. After finishing the exhibits, we had snacks here and made jelly too, and the kids got a lot out of it right through the end.

## Café menu

![Second-floor café drinks and snack menu](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-22-qd32q-966.webp)

![Theme Park Toon second-floor café menu](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon/jeju-indoor-character-themeparktoon-24-tl0js-966.webp)

There were drinks as well as snacks that kids would enjoy, so it was a nice place to take a short break. After walking around for so long, sitting down to eat made me feel human again haha. Ending with the activity made the whole course wrap up naturally.

## A rewarding indoor outing with kids

At first, we were mainly going to see Bread Barbershop, but once we got there, the kids were running around and having fun in every area. I thought we’d finish in under an hour after one lap, but with the activities, the café, and jelly-making, we ended up staying much longer than expected. The indoor spaces were very well maintained, so it was even nicer to look around comfortably. I thought only the kids would enjoy it, but it was secretly fun for adults too~ We had such a great time^^
