Every single side dish was delicious, honestly moved me 🥺 Felt like we had a proper full meal 🫶 I reached for every side, but the thinly sliced onions especially stood out — they were so sweet. For the first bite, of course, into the matcha salt. The outside was golden and crispy while the inside was tender and juicy — the texture was amazing. A little wasabi on top added a sharp kick, and the pork's clean flavor came through in a different way. But the combo I found most delicious was mel jorim (fermented anchovy braise) + grilled scallions + black pork!! Dipping the meat deep into the mel jorim and eating it together with the grilled scallions — this combo is seriously good. The mel jorim, honestly... it's next-level. The meat was already delicious, but the mel jorim that came with it was so good that my boyfriend and I kept marveling at it. I was even surprised to hear my boyfriend tell the owner how good it was — he's usually the quiet type lol!!
