On a third visit, late on a Sunday afternoon, the order was whole-squid stone jjajang and regular stone jjamppong at the same time — too filling to add menbosha like the table next door. Today's meal was a bit more special — an eating battle. Spoiler: I lost... ## Late Sunday afternoon: parking at Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong was quick Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong is at 1F, 6 Ilsanjin 5-gil, Dong-gu, Ulsan, and the parking lot is huge. I visited on a Sunday afternoon thinking it'd be quiet since it was late, but the lot was packed with cars. It's loaded with all kinds of seafood — eat the jjajang, eat the scorched rice, then fry the free rice in the leftover sauce. Women could probably split this into about three servings if you add a side. And if you saw this and can't go today, save the post! ## Scorched-rice stone-plate jjamppong: thick sauce, not soup The scorched-rice stone-plate jjamppong at Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong isn't a spicy soupy jjamppong — it's a thick, almost dry-style jjamppong, and the flavor soaked all the way into the noodles is next level! No room left for menbosha So, um... the table next to us ordered stone jjamppong, stone jjajang, AND menbosha (crispy stuffed toast), and cleared it all — but us? After finishing both our plates, we were so full we couldn't order menbosha. Losing at eating?!!! Thanks to the family at the next table, I learned it's totally fine to order two dishes at once. Ahahaha. Eating both really does mean zero regrets and double satisfaction.
