I am not quite sure what the annex was for, haha, but it was huge, with a really spacious and beautifully landscaped garden. I was curious, so I had a look around too, haha. I was going to buy Jeju mango jelly, but it was made in China, so I did not buy it...ㅠ ![Menu at Jungmun Godeungeo Ssam-bap](https://img.superchart.com/images/jungmun-family-pork-cutlet-meal/jungmun-family-pork-cutlet-meal-10-14x73-900.webp) The menu has lots of choices: aged-kimchi mackerel ssam-bap (rice wrapped in leafy vegetables) with abalone stone-pot rice for ₩18,000; grilled fatty mackerel with abalone stone-pot rice for ₩18,000; grilled king tilefish with abalone stone-pot rice for ₩30,000; handmade black pork cutlet for ₩15,000; and abalone-and-sea-urchin seaweed soup with abalone stone-pot rice for ₩18,000, among others. There were grilled fish items available à la carte too. Since we had a child with us, I loved that there was pork cutlet! It was set up so you could make wraps to eat with the fish. I did not have any wraps, but my husband enjoyed them, haha. Abalone porridge really does seem best when it is cooked with the innards. Our oldest kept giving it a thumbs-up. It tasted different from an ordinary pork cutlet, honestly. It was seriously enormous, haha. The flesh was plump and delicious too. As the daughter of someone who runs a seaweed shop, I really love seaweed soup and eat it often, but I think this was my first time trying this version. The broth was clear, clean, and refreshing. With abalone, hijiki seaweed, and kabocha squash, it had such a wholesome flavor. It was a little tart, but rich and delicious, haha. ₩3,000 each! It seemed inexpensive for freshly squeezed juice. I want to drink it again~ ## A Hearty Family Breakfast in Jungmun We do not usually eat breakfast, but with the kids and a full day ahead, we wanted to have a proper meal, so we stopped by Jungmun Godeungeo Ssam-bap. We filled up really well and everything was delicious. It is on the road from Jungmun toward Andeok-myeon, so I think it is perfect for breakfast in Seogwipo. We made a reservation and stopped in because it was on our way to O'sulloc and San-yang Keuneonggot! With tilefish, seaweed soup, and handmade pork cutlet, Jungmun Godeungeo Ssam-bap is one of those Seogwipo restaurants that works wonderfully for a family trip, with dishes both grandparents and kids will enjoy.
