## Was indoor sightseeing with a child on a rainy day in Jeju worthwhile?

I visited Figure Museum Jeju (피규어뮤지엄제주) in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, with my child. This was our second visit, and we spent about an hour looking around. Since we could view movie and comic characters indoors and try on props ourselves, I thought it would also work well as a rainy-day stop on a Jeju trip.

## How did parking and entry work?

There was a large parking lot directly in front of the museum, which made getting around with a child convenient. After buying our tickets, we received wrist tickets and wore them to enter.

During our visit, there was also an event where visitors could receive a mask after writing a review. We could choose one ourselves from the various masks attached to the wall.

## What figures were on the first floor?

As soon as we entered the first floor, I noticed figures displayed throughout the space. It was enjoyable to move around slowly and look at them one by one.

The life-size movie characters were especially impressive. Their expressions, costumes, and small details were rendered so carefully that I found myself examining them up close. We could also take photos with the figures, and since each character had a different atmosphere, we took photos in several spots.

## Could my child join the mask and prop experiences?

The main change from our previous visit was the addition of hands-on experience programs. We could try on the prepared masks and various props and transform ourselves into the characters we wanted to be.

The experience areas were spread throughout the galleries rather than gathered in one place. As we moved around, we looked for new activities and took photos wearing the props. It was fun to imitate the characters we had been viewing.

My child also took part by touching and wearing the masks and props. They enjoyed transforming into a character more than simply viewing the exhibition.

## What stood out in the second-floor gallery?

On the way up to the second floor, there was a Spider-Man display and various movie posters, so there were things to see even on the stairs.

When we reached the second floor, the Joker and Batman caught my eye first. The characters had a different feel from those on the first floor, making it feel like we were exploring a new space.

The Batman car was especially memorable. Because it was displayed at full size, it felt larger than I expected, and it was easy to examine the details up close or take photos with the car as a backdrop. Robots, various characters, and dolls were also displayed nearby.

Each character had a different appearance and level of detail, so I compared them one by one. Time passed quickly as I looked closely and took photos.

## Is there a nursing room for visitors with young children?

There was a nursing room on the second floor. As someone visiting with a child, I was glad to see this facility, and I thought it could be helpful when visiting with a young child.

## What photos could we take at the photo zones?

There were photo zones throughout the exhibition, decorated to match the characters and the atmosphere of each space. Since each spot had a slightly different concept, we walked around looking for them and took photos.

We could also choose and wear props at the photo zones. The process of deciding which props to use was fun, and I took photos with my child smiling as we dressed up like characters.

## Did my child enjoy the annex gallery?

The annex was the space my child liked more. It had characters such as the Minions and Pokémon, and small figures were displayed inside a cabinet, so we looked around slowly.

The most memorable spot was the Pokémon photo zone. My child enjoyed putting on one of the prepared hats and taking photos with Pokémon. On this visit, the fun of examining the life-size figures was combined with trying on props, making it a good place to look around and take photos with a child.
