## In short

SANFIX is an iPhone repair shop on the 7th floor of the BYC Building in Sangmu District, Seo-gu, Gwangju. After five years of use, an iPhone 13 Pro showed battery health of 78%, so the writer booked through Naver Reservation and visited SANFIX, where the swap took about 30 minutes and battery health read 100% afterwards. With parking support and a phone consultation for quotes, SANFIX was a satisfying choice for an iPhone battery replacement in Sangmu District.

Today I visited SANFIX, an iPhone repair shop in Gwangju, to get the battery replaced on an iPhone 13 Pro that's been used for years. I broke my own phone so my husband bought me a new one, but he insists his is still fine — he's been using it for about 5 years now, and there's no getting around the battery efficiency dropping, so we finally went.

## Where is SANFIX, and what are its hours?

SANFIX is on the 7th floor of the BYC Building at 43 Sangmujungang-ro, Seo-gu, Gwangju, South Korea. Hours are Monday–Friday 10:00–19:30, Saturday–Sunday 10:00–18:00.

My husband and I have only ever used iPhones, and I'm not sure if it's that signature iPhone heat — especially in summer when it basically turns into a hand warmer — or just years of use, but after 5 years the battery performance had really dropped. He said it would drain fast even right after charging.

## Parking and how to find SANFIX in Sangmu District

SANFIX is located in the BYC Building in Sangmu District, so it wasn't hard to find, and there's parking available both on the ground floor and underground — plus they even offer parking support! Sangmu District is really inconvenient to get around without a parking lot, so it was such a relief to be able to visit comfortably even coming from far away.

There are quite a lot of offices on the 7th floor, but the signage was clear enough that finding SANFIX wasn't difficult. Before visiting, we called the owner to get a quote over the phone first, then booked through Naver Reservation. If you call to ask, they'll walk you through everything kindly, so no need to worry.

## Booking SANFIX on Naver and the 7,000 won review discount

We arrived at SANFIX right on time after booking through Naver Reservation. We actually had to push our appointment back due to another commitment, but they were still very accommodating.

There's really no reason not to write a review, since the discount applies for each site you post on, and the Naver review discount alone is a whopping ₩7,000 off — definitely worth doing.

## Inside the SANFIX store and waiting area

The inside of the shop isn't huge, but there are seats to wait in while your repair is being done, along with simple coffee and water, so I could wait comfortably the whole time. When we did the phone consultation, they kindly told us the price and whether the repair was possible, plus how long it would take, which made it easy to plan our visit around the schedule.

## iPhone 13 Pro battery health down to 78% after five years

My husband's battery health was at 78%… It's a little sad seeing him grumble about how expensive phones are these days while making do, but since I can't just buy him a new one, at least we could replace the battery. Guilt-free kindness (well, forced kindness, ha).

My husband, terrified of cracking his expensive phone, hasn't taken the case off once in 5 years and has kept it scratch-free the whole time. Compared to clumsy me, that's honestly impressive.

## iPhone battery replacement in 30 minutes, and how to care for it after

Before starting the repair, they explained exactly how it would go, and afterward, how to take care of the phone. This iPhone repair shop in Gwangju gave thorough explanations and finished the swap quickly, in about 30 minutes, which I really appreciated.

After the battery swap, they said charging to 100% and letting it charge for 2 more hours optimizes the battery. Aftercare turned out to be simpler than expected, and the price was reasonably fair too — overall a good experience.

## iPhone screen replacement takes about an hour: know before you book

For reference, battery replacement takes around 30 minutes, but screen replacement takes closer to an hour, so keep that in mind when booking. There are several iPhone repair shops around Sangmu District in Gwangju, but SANFIX, which we visited this time, had a friendly owner and fast repairs, so we were satisfied — I'll probably keep coming back here as long as we're using iPhones.

Battery health went up to 100% after the repair and I'm very happy!! A new phone is nice and all, but they're so expensive these days that fixing what you have is the way to go if possible. This was a great opportunity, and I'd definitely recommend this place.
