On a Saturday afternoon on September 20, the writer visited with kids and sat on the outdoor terrace overlooking a field of yellow cosmos, ordering blueberry and strawberry yogurt smoothies and chocolate cake; the second floor of Yard is a no-kids zone, so the first floor or the terrace is easier with children. As it happened, when I visited, the yellow cosmos were in full bloom, so I got to enjoy pretty flower views all around the café. Since it sits right along the main road by Gyeongju World, it was easy to reach by car and easy to spot even for first-time visitors. It's especially good if you're looking for an aesthetic café for photos or a family-friendly spot in Gyeongju.
