We went to Lotte Department Store Gwangbok for a family meal on a Thursday afternoon. We had some shopping to do and wanted to look around Nampo-dong too, so we started thinking about what to eat — and decided on sushi! We all like sashimi and sushi as a family, so the menu choice was already a win haha!!

Being inside a department store made it easy to find, and convenient to combine with shopping before or after the meal, or moving on to the Gwangbok-dong or Nampo-dong area. Not having to worry about the weather when dropping by was another plus.

The interior of Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Gwangbok was overall clean and had a somewhat upscale vibe. The tables weren't cramped, and everything felt tidy, making it comfortable for a family meal. I expected the dining hall inside a department store to feel a bit chaotic, but it was calmer and more pleasant than I thought, so the whole meal was comfortable.

You order using the tablet on the table. Photos, set compositions and prices were all displayed nicely, so we didn't have to keep calling a staff member over and could take our time choosing. There was a wide variety of sushi, from à la carte items to set menus, and the sets in particular came packed not just with sushi but also tempura, noodles and salad, which looked like a solid choice for a family meal. Good for groups where everyone wants something different, and for anyone who takes forever to decide, the set is the answer lol.

There's also a receipt review event running. Definitely worth doing lol. They gave us 2 pieces of shrimp sushi!!

What we ordered that day was Set 4, the set for 2–3 people, plus salmon sashimi. Set 4 comes with 18 pieces of sushi, shrimp tempura, one noodle dish, vegetable salad, tofu salad and soup, priced at ₩58,900. Adding the ₩35,000 salmon sashimi on top of that filled the table completely.

The vegetable salad was crisp and whetted the appetite, and the soft tofu salad paired well with its savory sauce. Being able to have sushi, sashimi, tempura and soba noodles all at once seemed great for a family with different tastes. I really loved the tofu salad. So my style. Ahh, I want to eat it again.

We went in thinking "let's just eat some sushi," and ended up with a proper spread haha. There was a good variety — white fish, shrimp, salmon, tuna, egg, fried tofu (yubu) and more. Rather than a set of just one kind repeated, having this many different pieces mixed together was great for a family sharing according to their own tastes.

The rice wasn't overly large, so it was easy to eat in one bite, and the sashimi-topped pieces went down smoothly. The egg sushi was sweet, so our kid ate it happily, and the shrimp sushi and fried tofu sushi were a combination even a picky eater could enjoy without any trouble. If you're looking for a good sushi spot at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, ordering a set for the family seems like the easiest way to go.

The shrimp tempura included in the set was also satisfying. The batter wasn't too thick and was crispy, so it was easy to pick up one piece at a time while eating sushi. Tempura never lets you down lol. For the noodle dish, we chose soba, which cleanly reset the palate that can get slightly greasy from eating only sushi. It was cold and light, pairing well with the sushi, and having warm soup alongside made the meal feel even more filling and complete.

## Is the 35,000 won salmon sashimi worth adding?

The salmon sashimi came sliced wide and thick, just like in the photo. With the orange-colored salmon spread across the whole plate, the visual alone was enough to make salmon lovers' hearts race.

It was glossy and had a soft texture, good to eat on its own, and even fresher when paired with the onion salad served alongside. The sushi set alone was already plenty varied, but since our family has a salmon fan, adding the salmon sashimi was a genius move. The portion was way too generous too. That size for only ₩35,000.

## Is Moshi Moshi Sushi good for a family meal in Nampo-dong?

Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Gwangbok was the sushi spot we found looking for good eats at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok. It was a comfortable stop while shopping, great for a family to eat heartily together, and Set 4 in particular was satisfying with its varied composition. When I'm near Nampo Station wondering what to have for lunch or dinner and sushi comes to mind, I think I'll come back.
