Placed side by side, the colors alone were gorgeous. They say you should eat protein and veggies first to avoid a blood sugar spike, right? In particular, the house-made fresh basil sauce really suited my taste. It had a fresh aroma that cut right through the richness of the beef, making it hard to stop eating. There were two eggs, so we shared one each haha. Crispy bread, moist egg, and springy shrimp all together gave it great texture too. It was a tiring weekend and I wasn't fully awake yet, but one bite of this woke me right up haha. It was a plate packed with everything you'd expect from a classic brunch — scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, cheese, salad, and bread, so I liked getting to try a little bit of everything. It's a menu where you get to have fun mixing and matching whatever you like. If I came for brunch alone, I think I'd go for this one too — with so much variety on one plate, it'd be pretty filling on its own. ## Next visit: pasta at Just Chilling Honestly, Just Chilling has a wide range of pasta too, so I was torn while ordering. From black tiger shrimp aglio olio to classic carbonara and myeongran (pollock roe) cream varieties, the more I looked at the menu, the more curious I got about the pasta. But since brunch was the plan for the day, I went with the brunch menu. Looking back after eating, I got even more curious haha. Next time I want to come in the evening and order pasta. Looking at the sea, then having a delicious brunch, then just taking your time — Songjeong really suits that kind of relaxed weekend. Just Chilling fit right in with that distinct Songjeong atmosphere too. You can enjoy brunch in the morning and pasta with wine in the evening, so visiting at different times of day for different vibes sounds like a good idea. Next time I want to stop by again for that pasta I couldn't stop thinking about.
