I visited during an off-peak weekday hour so it wasn't crowded, but apparently it's usually busy. Seriously, that's a lot!!! I don't think I've ever been to a café with this many cream pie varieties. My eyes were spinning haha. According to the owner, the top 3 are Mont Blanc chestnut / corn cream / basil tomato. Total visual flex, right?! Sitting by the sun-drenched window taking photos, I felt so relaxed, seriously ㅠㅠ If you visit, make sure to grab this table. Even a photo klutz like me gets amazing shots here. Oh right! Since the cream flavors would mix, they gave us two knives. They recommended eating the carrot pie first since the basil tomato pie's basil aroma can be strong. They recommended eating the cream and the pie crust together in one bite! On top, tons of cream! Underneath, a carrot-studded bread layer — eating them together was so good. Cream alone can get a bit rich, but paired with the crust and bread below, it wasn't too sweet at all — just right. Carrot pie can easily go wrong, either too strong or with barely any carrot flavor at all, but this one nailed it. The marinated tomatoes on top added a refreshing tang, and there was even tomato cream(?) near the crust, so however you ate it, it screamed 'I'm the basil tomato pie!' The crust was crispy and delicious too. Would make a great gift too haha. There aren't many cafés that specialize in pie, so I hoped more would open — turns out Hippy is actually looking for franchise partners!! Not the usual menu you see everywhere else, and it's trendy with pretty interiors too!!
