It's not common to revisit a café you loved while traveling, is it? But there's one café in Haeundae that comes to mind naturally every time I go there.

I first visited alone last year, and I really loved the atmosphere back then. So let me introduce Low & Sweet Bakery, which I visited again on this Busan trip.

## What kind of café is Low & Sweet Bakery on Haeri-dan-gil?

Low & Sweet Bakery is a small, cozy European-style bakery café you come across while walking through the Haeri-dan-gil alleys. The RAW&SWEET sign sits above white walls and a black door. It's not flashily decorated, but it fits perfectly with the mood of the alley.

It looked exactly the same as it did last year, which made me feel unexpectedly glad. When you revisit a place you loved while traveling, the old memories come flooding back too.

## Last year: a solo hour on the Low & Sweet terrace

I first discovered Low & Sweet Bakery on a solo trip to Busan last year. I ordered an iced americano and a madeleine and sat on the sun-drenched terrace. Nibbling on the sweet, moist madeleine, I leisurely enjoyed some time alone.

When I go to a café alone, I end up looking around the space slowly instead of rushing. Listening to music while drinking coffee, even the light falling on the table looked pretty.

It was an afternoon when just drinking coffee in the sun was enough to make me happy. This is exactly why I love traveling alone.

The sunlight filtering through the green plants and the shadows cast by the striped awning were pretty too. If it's not too hot or too cold, I'd recommend the terrace over indoor seating.

While I drank my coffee, a little sparrow kept hopping around the terrace. Quietly watching the sparrow was another luxury only possible because I was traveling alone. Nothing much happened, but scenes like that are the ones that stay with me longest.

## Inside Low & Sweet Bakery on a second visit

With such good memories from last year, I revisited Low & Sweet Bakery again on this Haeundae trip. Walking in, the warm wood tones and white tiles still looked just as lovely together. The space has a coffee bar and small tables arranged in a cozy layout.

It's not a large café, but it has the charm of a small neighborhood spot. Plants along the window, vintage furniture, and little decorative touches everywhere caught my eye.

They also sell coffee beans separately, so if you like coffee, it's fun to browse.

It's not huge, but each corner has a different mood, making it a decent café for photos too.

This time, instead of lingering long at the café, I decided to get my dessert and coffee to go.

I wanted to take my coffee to go and walk from Haeri-dan-gil all the way to Haeundae Beach.

## Baked goods on the counter and what I ordered, with prices

Low & Sweet Bakery has all kinds of baked goods, from cookies to canelés, financiers, and croissants. Standing in front of the display case, it was really hard to pick just one, once again.

The first item I picked was the egg tart marked as a bestseller. It was ₩3,800 each, and the golden-baked surface looked so appetizing. How could I just walk past a visual like that? No hesitation needed — straight into the basket!

Along with the egg tart, I picked a refreshing-looking lemon madeleine. It was ₩3,400 each, topped with yellow lemon cream.

For a drink to go with the desserts, I ordered an iced americano. At ₩5,500 a cup, it paired well with the sweet desserts.

I held a cold americano in one hand and the dessert bag in the other. The weather was clear, too, so a pleasant walk began the moment I stepped out of the café.

I slowly walked from Haeri-dan-gil, where Low & Sweet is located, toward Haeundae Beach. Browsing cafés and small shops along the way, I arrived at Haeundae Beach before I knew it.

I walked along streets bustling with travelers, blue sky peeking between tall buildings, haha. Just knowing the destination was the beach made an ordinary walk feel like a trip in itself. A route of packing dessert on Haeri-dan-gil and walking to Haeundae — pretty great, right?

Once I reached Haeundae Beach, I drank my coffee while looking out at the sea.

A sip of cool iced americano with the sea breeze added in — it was so good. Coffee sitting at a café is nice too, but in Haeundae, isn't drinking it while looking at the sea the real romance?

## Was the Low & Sweet egg tart still crisp after takeout?

After finishing just the americano at Haeundae, I brought the leftover desserts home and ate them slowly. The one that stuck with me most was, without question, Low & Sweet's egg tart.

The outer tart shell had visible layers and a crisp, nutty texture. The custard filling inside was soft and moist, pairing well with the crispy shell. The surface was deeply baked and nutty, while the inside stayed moist and sweet — really delicious.

Even after some time had passed since packing it, it was still fully satisfying. I only picked it because it was famous, but it was the kind of taste I'd want to buy again. This café turned out to be an egg tart spot.

The lemon madeleine is a soft madeleine topped with refreshing lemon cream. Behind the sweetness, the lemon's brightness came through, making it a good match with americano.

It has a different charm from a plain madeleine, so I'd recommend it if you like refreshing desserts.

## Why Low & Sweet Bakery is better the second time

Last year I sat alone on the terrace, resting while watching the sunlight and the sparrow. This year I packed dessert and coffee to go and walked all the way to Haeundae Beach. Same café, but completely different memories depending on how I traveled.

It's not a flashy or large café, but I loved the quiet atmosphere that makes you want to linger. You can enjoy coffee and baked goods together, and it's never awkward to visit alone. If you're looking for a solo-friendly café on Haeri-dan-gil or an egg tart spot in Haeundae, I'd recommend Low & Sweet Bakery.
