Today I'm sharing a visit to Ttukbang, a really tasty makchang (grilled pork intestine) BBQ restaurant right in front of IM Bank Park in Goseong-dong, Daegu — a new favorite of mine! It's been a while since we all went out for good grilled meat as a family, so here's the full, lively post~🙌🏻

## Parking at Ttukbang and free jajang egg rice on Daegu FC match days

Here's the exterior of Ttukbang, the makchang restaurant with really tasty meat. There's a sign saying they give out a free bowl of jajang egg rice on days when Daegu FC has a match — I'll have to time my next visit around a game day. 😂 For parking, there's a sign saying you can park in the line right in front of the restaurant or in the IM Bank Park lot, and they'll cover your parking fee~

I heard Ttukbang, this Goseong-dong restaurant, usually has a wait, but luckily we went right at opening time so it was fine.

The grilled items are a clean lineup of 4 menu choices, and the sides were made up of things I personally love, which I really appreciated.

There's also a self-serve bar, so you can easily grab extra side dishes yourself. They have a baby chair and utensils for kids too, so it was fine to bring the children along.

## What our family ordered at Ttukbang

- 2 servings of Ttukbang makchang
- 2 servings of salt-grilled pork belly
- (extra) 1 serving of Ttukbang makchang
- Bowl of rice
- Jajang egg rice
- Kimchi noodle soup
- + soju and beer, of course

### Side dishes at Ttukbang: silkworm pupae, kimchi pancake, fresh kimchi and steamed egg

The basic side dishes at Ttukbang, this really tasty makchang place, arrived. They also give you silkworm pupae and kimchi pancake as standard, which was great for a light drink before the meat came out~🙊

### Pre-grilled makchang and pork belly at the table

They said all the meat comes pre-seared first, and sure enough, both the pork belly and makchang came out quickly.

I heard Ttukbang's makchang has a hint of milky aroma — can you imagine what that's like? Just watching it grill made me so excited to taste how savory it would be!

While the meat was grilling, the steamed egg arrived~ Not many places give you steamed egg as standard these days, but this one was soft and just the right seasoning. 👍🏻

Normally the staff grills the meat for you at Ttukbang, but we wanted to take it slow ourselves, so we asked to grill it ourselves. (So please excuse the uneven thickness of the pork belly. 😂)

Ttukbang is famous for makchang, but I heard the pork neck and pork belly are also delicious — the raw pork belly was great quality and genuinely tasty. Plus the charcoal heat was strong, so the pork belly cooked up with a really nice color~

I really love myeoljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), and this Goseong-dong restaurant Ttukbang serves it too. (They clearly know what they're doing... haha 👍🏻)

Since it came pre-seared and the charcoal heat was strong, we could keep grilling without losing momentum!

The makchang at this Goseong-dong restaurant in Daegu was so~~ good that we immediately ordered more. 😋

Even full, I can't resist carbs~ so we ordered jajang egg rice and kimchi noodle soup.

I heard the jajang has some special secret recipe... and sure enough👍🏻 there was plenty of meat inside, and it wasn't salty but the umami really came through~

The kimchi noodle soup, with its icy broth, was refreshing and sweet-and-sour, and I completely cleaned the bowl!

## Verdict: a Daegu makchang restaurant that suits both kids and group dinners

Ttukbang, this really tasty makchang restaurant in Goseong-dong, Daegu, holds its own against all the other good grilled-meat and makchang spots nearby — the makchang was really savory, tender, and delicious. There's plenty of seating, and it even has room-like separate sections inside, so it seemed good for group gatherings too, and there were lots of families with kids, so it's a fine restaurant to visit with children!

If you're looking for a good restaurant in Goseong-dong, Daegu, a grilled-meat place in Goseong-dong, a makchang restaurant in Daegu, or a restaurant near Buk-gu Office Station in Daegu, I recommend Ttukbang for its delicious meat! (This is entirely my personal taste and subjective opinion^^;;)
