I went with my husband on a date to Central Site Yeonnam in Yeonnam-dong.

From the hand drip to the classic tiramisu and the Haruyama matcha latte, I tried everything myself, so let me go through the menu, prices, and the vibe of the space one by one.

The moment I stepped in, Central Site felt like a café that takes coffee seriously.

It wasn't just a pretty space selling coffee — I was impressed that you could experience the whole process of picking a bean, smelling it, and having it hand-dripped for you.

On the first floor there's a space to smell the beans and a bar where you can watch coffee being extracted, and there's seating from the first floor all the way up to the third.

Being able to smell the beans before ordering coffee made it a fun space for anyone curious how the aroma and taste differ by bean.

It's mainly a coffee menu, but there are non-coffee options too, so it's good for going with someone who can't drink coffee. There were also plenty of sweet cakes to go with the coffee.

One of the things that stood out at Central Site was the coffee sniffing.

Once you pick a coffee, they let you smell the aroma of the coffee extracted on the first floor before you order.

I'm not usually well-versed in coffee, so being able to smell it in person rather than just picking by the bean's name was fun.

## Ethiopia Nigusse Gemeda iced hand drip, 13,000 won

The bean I ordered was Ethiopia Single Farmer Nigusse Gemeda.

The name was unfamiliar, and the way the coffee was served was special too.

When I ordered the iced hand drip, it came with not a regular ice cube but a big, hard chunk of ice like the ones used for whiskey on the rocks.

Because the ice was big and melted slowly, the water didn't mix in quickly while I drank, so the coffee flavor didn't go watery easily.

You could keep tasting close to the original flavor even after time passed, which seemed great for anyone who likes to sip hand-drip coffee slowly.

The bean I drank had a bright citrus note on the first sip, a subtle floral aroma in the middle, and a candy-like sweet finish at the end.

The sponge was well soaked in coffee, giving it a moist texture, and the cream was on the softer side.

The subtle coffee aroma blended nicely with the soft cream, and it went well with the hand drip.

The heavy richness typical of tiramisu wasn't too strong, so it was easy to eat little by little alongside the coffee.

## Haruyama matcha latte, 7,500 won

Since I can't drink coffee, I also ordered a matcha latte.

The Haruyama matcha latte tasted close to the matcha latte flavor most people are familiar with.

Central Site Yeonnam left an impression beyond just being a café where you drink a cup of coffee and leave — you actually get to smell the beans and experience the full flavor of hand-drip coffee.

What made it fun even for someone like me who doesn't know coffee well was being able to feel the flavor shift from citrus to floral to candy-like sweetness.
