I held off trying to go at lunch, but couldn't because of the waiting line... ㅠ so this is my review from a dinner visit, haha. Walking by, I couldn't just pass the flashy sign and the cauldron out front,,,,, (though it might be a fake cauldron haha). If you work near Seonyudo Station, I highly recommend this place. The tables and floor were kept very clean, which made a great first impression. And it's well set up with everything from solo seats where you never feel awkward eating alone, to tables for four where you can sit with coworkers or friends. Rather than the sharp taste of seasoning, it's the rich, savory flavor of the bone broth, simmered for a long time, that wraps around your mouth in the best way. The bowl was generously packed with meat, ugeoji (napa cabbage leaves), bean sprouts, and more, so there was nothing lacking even down to the last spoonful. The meat wasn't tough at all — it was tender, and had a great texture to chew. The lifeblood of a gukbap restaurant is the kimchi! The perfectly fermented kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) and geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi) lifted the flavor of the soup even further.
