## What is Songnim Bok Jangeo, the Seongsu eel refill restaurant?

I visited Songnim Bok Jangeo Seongsu branch because I wanted to eat as much eel as I wanted, refills included 🤗 When you go looking for good eel restaurants in Seongsu, price can sometimes make you hesitate — but Songnim Bok Jangeo lets you enjoy unlimited freshwater eel, which I thought made it a great spot for eel lovers 👍

What I liked most was that it's not just an eel-only place — pork belly and chicken neck are also part of the unlimited refill 👍 It's a nice perk that eel lovers and meat lovers can visit together and each eat to their own taste ❤️

Walking in, the overall vibe was clean and tidy — a comfortable place to come with friends or family for a meal 👍

After ordering, the basic side dishes and a starting plate of eel + pork belly + chicken neck arrived, and whenever you run low you can just help yourself from the self-serve bar 👍

and you can eat as much of the plump, tender eel, pork belly and chicken neck as you like 🥰 Using the self-serve bar to grab whatever you need yourself was really convenient — you just bring over as much as you want and pair it with the eel, so you get to mix and match according to your own taste 👍

For the two-hour unlimited refill of eel, pork belly and chicken neck, they say the eel tastes best when you start grilling from the skin side, sear all four edges well, and cook it until golden brown 😁

We grilled the eel on the charcoal first,

flipped it over once cooked and grilled it some more,

and once the eel turned golden brown, we dug in.

We paired the nicely grilled eel with the sweet bokbunja wine too.

## How the freshwater eel tastes wrapped with ginger

I tried the eel once it was grilled nicely golden — the flesh was thick and tender, with that distinct savory eel flavor coming through.

At first I just dipped a piece in salt to taste the eel's natural flavor — it was clean and savory and delicious. Then I put the eel on lettuce or perilla leaf with garlic and other side dishes, and it was a completely different kind of delicious.

Eel can start to feel a bit heavy if you keep eating it, but wrapping it made it much lighter 👍 The combination with ginger in particular was my favorite. Savory eel, crunchy vegetables and that sharp bite of ginger all came together, and my hand just kept reaching for more ❤️

The freshwater eel wasn't greasy at all, just clean and light, so I ended up refilling it 4 times 😁

It's a great Seongsu restaurant that also does takeout ‼️ After eating my fill of eel, I felt properly nourished, like I hadn't in a while ❤️ If you're craving eel in Seongsu but worried the portions won't be enough, this place is worth recommending precisely because it's unlimited refill 🥰

Another big plus is that you're not just limited to eel — you can also enjoy pork belly and chicken neck, so when you visit with a group there's no need to stress over the menu ‼️ If you're looking for a place in Seongsu where you can eat eel until you're full, I'd say it's worth going to Songnim Bok Jangeo Seongsu branch and eating your fill ❤️ It'd be a great choice not just for eel lovers, but for anyone who wants to eat meat alongside it too ‼️ That day, we ate our fill of eel and meat and wrapped up the meal feeling completely satisfied ❤️
