Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch is on the 1st floor of the Sui Building on Seolleung-ro 82-gil, near Seolleung Station, open daily from 11:00 to 21:00 (break time 14:30–15:30). Reservations and corkage are available for a fee, but there's no parking.

Located right near Seolleung Station! I visited to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I was happy with both the vibe and the food.

## Inside Kkuudeok Seolleung: seating and reservations

The interior of Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch was a decent size — not too small, not overly spacious. Just right!

Reservations are available in advance, so if you have a set time in mind, I'd definitely recommend booking ahead.

You order through the kiosk at each table. Kkuudeok sells individual items too, but the sets are where the real value is. There are three: Hangsang, Pujim, and Haengbok, and you get to choose your own steak and pasta — nice touch. Since I wanted to eat a lot of steak, I went straight for the Pujim Set.

I loved that the salad had a generous amount of ricotta on top, and honestly I was shocked by how good the butter that came with the rye bread was!! Kind of like the mango spread at Outback. It was delicious enough that I wanted to order more, ugh.

The Kkuudeok Pujim Set costs ₩65,900. And soon after, an incredibly generous spread arrived!! The Pujim Set lets you order two rounds of meat plus one pasta or risotto.

For steak, you choose between bujaesal (skirt steak) and salchisal (chuck flap, +₩20,000)! I went with the standard bujaesal, and it was delicious.

Alongside the steak came pre-seared vegetables too. Grilled corn and mushrooms — very generous.

There are a whopping five sauces if you count the fresh wasabi. I personally loved the house special sauce!

### How to grill bujaesal steak on your own tabletop brazier

Melt some butter on the personal brazier provided, then grill the meat on top.

The fire was way hotter than I expected, so the meat cooked fast. It also comes pre-seared, so if you like it rare you can just eat it as is — cook it to whatever doneness you like!!

The meat was so tender it basically melted. I flipped it just once on each side and it came out a perfect medium. No gamey smell at all, and it was really excellent.

## How does the brisket, perilla leaf and perilla seed pasta taste?

For our set pasta I chose the Kkuudeok chadol (beef brisket) perilla-leaf perilla-seed pasta, and it came loaded with a good amount of meat too.

Once you mix it all together, it's got a rich, creamy look and taste. It's an oil-based pasta, but the perilla seeds give it a familiar yet fusion-y twist. The perilla leaves add a refreshing note that balanced everything out well! Being so rich and creamy, it paired great with the juicy steak.

The final course — dessert! You can choose between chocolate cake and tiramisu. I went with the chocolate mousse cake, and it was seriously rich too. They're good at desserts here as well.

## Is Kkuudeok Seolleung worth it for a birthday dinner?

[This is a strictly personal opinion] Overall, the set composition was great and the menu quality was great too — a Seolleung restaurant, Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch, that left me really satisfied! A place I'd recommend for anniversaries or group gatherings. If you like Western food, this is an absolute recommend.
