The wooden tables and chairs were all in warm brown tones, and the lighting had a cozy feel, so it was really comfortable. There were plants placed here and there, plus Mexican-style tile decorations and little props, so it definitely felt like a Mexican restaurant rather than just an ordinary place to eat. Several round black pendant lights hung from the ceiling, and they made the atmosphere feel even cozier. The window side has full-height windows too, so plenty of sunlight comes in! Personally, I thought they tasted great when I mixed several together. The scallops were larger than expected, which was great, and their surfaces were nicely seared. They had a nutty flavor while still keeping that distinct scallop texture—springy and tender at the same time. I can eat cilantro to some extent, but even I found its aroma pretty strong in each bite! So if cilantro is not your thing, I really recommend asking them to leave it out when you order. It is especially a nice option when you want something a little different from the usual choices near HUFS. The restaurant is quite spacious and does not feel hectic, so it is good for a leisurely meal with friends, and the subtly pretty atmosphere also makes it seem like a nice date spot. When I think of Mexican food, I usually think only of tacos or spicy dishes, but there are also dishes using rice and cream sauce like the ones I had, so I think even first-timers can enjoy it without feeling intimidated.
