## In short

Sosa Myeonok is a bossam (boiled pork wrap) and naengmyeon (cold noodles) restaurant about 323m from Gunja Station Exit 6 in Gwangjin, Seoul, run by a certified Korean food master and listed in the Blue Ribbon guide. The order was bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) at 11,000 won and daega bossam (small) at 36,000 won; Saturday brought a long wait, but a late weekday afternoon meant walking straight in. The clean-tasting bossam with tangy, spicy bibim naengmyeon is the reason for coming back to Sosa Myeonok.

## What kind of restaurant is Sosa Myeonok near Gunja Station?

Sosa Myeonok (소사면옥) is a bossam (boiled pork wrap) and naengmyeon (cold noodles) restaurant at 270 Neungdong-ro, 1F, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, about 323m from Gunja Station Exit 6. It's also a Blue Ribbon-listed restaurant run by a certified Korean food master. This is genuinely one of my favorite naengmyeon spots near Gunja Station — a Gunja go-to for both bossam and naengmyeon.

This time I was craving clean-tasting bossam and spicy, refreshing bibim naengmyeon, so I made my way back to Sosa Myeonok after a while.

### Where is Sosa Myeonok and how do you get there?

## What is the dining room at Sosa Myeonok like?

The interior is spacious and pleasant overall. With its wood-tone design, it feels calm and clean, and the tables are spaced generously enough that even during busy hours it shouldn't feel too cramped.

It looks like a good spot for a family meal or a group outing alike. With its tidy, orderly atmosphere, it's one of the places that comes to mind when looking for good Korean food near Children's Grand Park.

## When can you eat at Sosa Myeonok without waiting?

Going on a weekday late afternoon meant I could walk straight in without waiting. Last time I visited on a Saturday, though, it was so crowded I remember waiting quite a while — even with the spacious dining room, seats were nearly full. So this time I deliberately chose a different time and went on a weekday late afternoon instead.

Visiting outside the usual weekday mealtime rush made a huge difference compared to that Saturday. This time I got in with no wait at all, and the restaurant had a much more relaxed feel. Thanks to that, I could enjoy my meal slowly and comfortably.

## What we ordered at Sosa Myeonok and what it cost

- Bibim naengmyeon ₩11,000
- Daega bossam (small) ₩36,000

I ordered naengmyeon and bossam together again — my favorite combo at this restaurant — and since it had been a while, I picked the dishes I remembered loving before.

### Daega bossam (small), 36,000 won

The daega bossam came out first. Tender boiled pork arrives with garlic, chili, and doenjang (soybean paste), plus napa cabbage kimchi and mu kimchi (radish kimchi) on the side.

![Boiled pork served with garlic, chili, and doenjang](https://img.superchart.com/images/gunja-sosamyeonok-bibim-naengmyeon-bossam/gunja-sosamyeonok-bibim-naengmyeon-bossam-09-1bwku-900.webp)

The pork has no gamey smell at all and isn't greasy — it's clean-tasting and tender, so it's easy to eat and genuinely delicious. I expected less meat since I ordered the small size, but there was more than I anticipated. This time it also came with fresh cabbage, which was an extra plus.

### Bossam with kimchi and mu-chae (shredded radish salad)

The napa cabbage kimchi served alongside was delicious too — not overly sharp or salty, just moderately spicy, and it paired well with the bossam.

The kimchi itself tastes clean, so eating it with the pork made everything better. The mu-chae (shredded radish) was really good too — nicely sweet and spicy, and piling it on top of the clean-tasting bossam confirmed that this combination is simply the best way to eat bossam.

## How does Sosa Myeonok's bibim naengmyeon taste?

The biggest reason I love this Gunja Station restaurant is this bibim naengmyeon (₩11,000). Eating it again after a while, it was still just as good.

The chewy noodles come together with a sauce that's sweet, tangy, and spicy — not overwhelmingly hot or sharp, yet still incredibly delicious. The more you eat, the more you're drawn back in, and my chopsticks kept going for more.

What I love most is how well the noodles and sauce balance each other here. Even after not having it for a while, it tasted exactly the way I remembered loving it, which was a welcome surprise :)

### Eating bossam and bibim naengmyeon together

The naengmyeon is delicious on its own, but eating it alongside the bossam brings out a whole different flavor.

![A bite of bossam paired with bibim naengmyeon](https://img.superchart.com/images/gunja-sosamyeonok-bibim-naengmyeon-bossam/gunja-sosamyeonok-bibim-naengmyeon-bossam-19-xw9pc-900.webp)

Pairing the clean-tasting bossam with the tangy, spicy bibim naengmyeon cleanses the palate and the two go together beautifully. It's the kind of combination that instantly explains why people love eating bossam and naengmyeon together.
