I went and got a lash lift plus eyebrow waxing done at Moodmoa Lash & Brow in Dongtan. September and October are packed with Chuseok holidays and weddings, so I've been way too busy lately — but I finally found a place that does both lash lift and brow waxing together, and I was so happy with it!

I'd made a bit of a disaster trying to shape my own eyebrows at home... and they fixed me right up. Let's start with the dramatic before and after!

My brows before waxing looked like a mountain ridge haha... I'd been trimming them myself at home and ended up poking a hole in the arch. I really wanted to just shave the whole thing off but held back and got brow waxing instead. Combine that with a lash lift and I basically became a different person~ The whole vibe changed completely. From sleepy eyes to bright, wide-awake eyes. You can really see the difference between before and after, right?! Let me walk you through the shop details and a detailed review of the lash lift and brow waxing.

It's on the first floor so it was easy to find. Moodmoa was also running a first-visit event — a no-glue moisture lash lift for ₩30,000 and classic extensions for ₩40,000 — so I'd recommend it to anyone around Dongtan looking for a lash lift or extension shop~

I sat in a chair with a flower-shaped cushion for the brow waxing — the seat cushion made it comfy, and there was also a flower-shaped cushion supporting my lower back. There was even a cat-shaped cushion for my head, which made it feel really relaxed.

## Eye-shape consultation and the C-curl lash perm, step by step

At Moodmoa Lash & Brow, you first fill out a consultation sheet, and the director looks at your eye shape and brow shape to give you a personalized consultation. When I first arrived, the previous customer was just leaving so it must have been a busy moment, but the director greeted me warmly anyway and asked me to fill out the customer sheet~ Filling out the consultation sheet first, then getting a personalized consultation — that's exactly how it should be.

I tend to have a bit of extra fullness on my eyelids and my eyes swell easily, so if the curl is lifted too dramatically it touches my eyelid and I end up unhappy with the result... (speaking from experience). The director immediately recommended a C-curl, said a U-curl would also be possible, and since I like a moderately natural look, I went with the C-curl lash lift.

The director was kind and gave great recommendations based on my eye shape, so I'd recommend this place to anyone on the fence about getting their first lash lift. Once I get a lash lift, my mornings get so much easier for a while afterward~ Back to the photos, haha.

First step done — C-curl lash lift. My eyes show a lot of the inner membrane, so if the lift is too dramatic it can look 👀 a bit intense. She kept it just right so my eyes looked bright and defined without showing too much.

## Fixing DIY eyebrows with brow waxing, tweezers and scissors

Second step done — brow waxing complete. She asked about my preferred direction too, and I asked to keep the basic brow shape without much change, just so I could quickly fill in the sparse spots in the morning and rush out the door.

For the brow waxing, she first used warm wax, then went in with tweezers for the areas closer to the eyes for finer cleanup. The waxed area was a bit red right after, but it calmed down after some time.

The very final version, after the soothing pack, on both sides. She carefully trimmed the length with scissors too, then had me open my eyes again to check the symmetry — since my right eyebrow tends to sit a bit higher, she trimmed it a little more.

My brows aren't completely sparse, but the thickness and color made them look a bit strong, so I wanted a more naturally groomed impression~ It came out much cleaner and I was really happy. When I trim them myself at home with scissors, I tend to just hack away at the length — I realized this is how delicately you're supposed to handle it, like handling a baby, haha. Even with my eyes closed, I could feel how carefully she was working.

I got the lash lift lying down here — there was a cushion so I could rest my legs up while lying down, which was comfortable.

## Hygiene at Moodmoa and aftercare for lashes and brows

She wore latex gloves throughout the treatment, which felt clean, and there was a handwashing area right inside the shop.
