## What is solo dining like at 1pm on a Wednesday?

I went alone around 1pm on a Wednesday, worried it might be a bit awkward to eat solo during lunch rush.

But once inside, there were quite a few other solo diners, so it wasn't uncomfortable at all.

With solo diners eating naturally around me, I settled in comfortably too.

The place was really clean, first of all.

Everything was well organized, and since it was quite hot out that day, the cool interior felt amazing the moment I walked in.

That happiness of walking in from the heat into a cool restaurant to eat!

## Cold soba and one-piece pork cutlet set, 14,500 won

I originally planned to just get the pork cutlet, but since it was unusually hot that day, I looked over the menu and changed my mind to the cold soba and pork cutlet set.

It's a menu where you get cold buckwheat soba noodles together with a half portion of pork cutlet, priced at ₩14,500.

And before the food arrived, soup came out first — that's when it really started to feel like I'd come to a proper Korean-style pork cutlet restaurant.

Personally, when I go for pork cutlet and soup comes as a default, it just makes me happy for no particular reason.

Starting with the warm soup gave off that old-school Korean-style vibe, and it matched exactly what I was hoping for from a Sanbon pork cutlet spot.

## Why the cold soba set was the right call on a hot day

I especially felt glad I chose the cold soba set that day.

A bite of cool buckwheat soba, then a bite of crispy cutlet — the combo was so good.

It'd be a good pick for office workers or students near the Sanbon academy district looking for a solo dining spot.

Since there were actually quite a few solo diners when I visited, I'd recommend it as a solo dining spot in Sanbon too.

Above all, if you like Korean-style pork cutlet, it's worth a visit.

Starting with warm soup and moving through crispy cutlet with sauce, then rice and side dishes — that classic lineup done right was genuinely refreshing to see.
