It was roomier than I expected, with lots of tables. Since they stay open until dawn, it would be a nice spot for a second round too! There were dishes I’d never heard of, like cha ca la vong and bun bo Hue, as well as tom yum dishes, so I wondered if I’d get a little taste of Vietnam haha. It arrived in an unusual bowl I’d never seen before, which was so interesting haha. I heard it’s made in the traditional Hanoi style. First of all, the seasoned meat was so good. It was my first time trying nuoc mam sauce, but its aroma wasn’t overwhelmingly strong, and it went so well with all the ingredients!! Delicious. The broth was mild, so I squeezed in the chili and lemon juice that came with it. It felt a little richer after that…? haha. If you want a bolder flavor, I think it would be good to add the sauces on the table too. I liked that it has more than just the usual pho options, so you can try a range of traditional dishes. The distinctive plating also seemed like one reason to visit! There are lots of tables too, so it would be a nice place when you’re wondering where to have lunch around Ajou University.
