Walking distance from the Korean Folk Village Yubok Kalguksu Yongin Korean Folk Village Branch is super close to the Korean Folk Village, so it's an easy walk if you park there first. The staff poured in all the seafood from earlier! It was already hot so it started boiling right away. So good haha. The smell of the noodles alone passed the test. Ahh, looks delicious already, right? Just look at the color on that octopus... It genuinely looked delicious. The moment I put a bite of jjukkumi in my mouth, the smoky char flavor was insane... As soon as my dad and sister chewed a bite of octopus, they both said the smoky flavor was amazing~~ Honestly, the kalguksu and jjukkumi combo alone is already so good... spicy octopus one bite, then rinse your mouth with the broth... you could do that on repeat forever. ### Jjukkumi seafood chive pancake, 13,000 won The jjukkumi seafood chive pancake (13,000) came out last! Wait, isn't this just... chives? I have no idea how much chive went into this... When I tried to cut it, there were so many chives it barely cut lol. The shrimp was plump too, and the chive + shrimp combo was so good! ## Which dish won? The family's top pick at Yubok Kalguksu For me, the kalguksu was the clear favorite! My dad and sister agreed too — they said this is definitely a real kalguksu place. First of all, the seafood is genuinely, genuinely fresh. Apparently it comes in that same day, and you can really taste that freshness the moment you eat it... There are so many famous kalguksu places in Yongin that I didn't have huge expectations, but the seafood here was seriously some of the freshest I've had.
