## Counter seating throughout: an easy spot for solo diners in Gojan-dong

The interior of Gin Jaryoko Ansan Gojan Branch isn't huge, but since every seat is a tachi (counter) seat, it looked perfect for eating alone. There are baskets under the seats to store your bags too.

Gin Jaryoko's signature beef udon sukiyaki comes out for ₩13,500 in a huge bowl. At first I thought it might be too much, but it turned out to be a perfectly good amount for one person.

It had that distinct sweet-and-savory flavor of authentic Japanese sukiyaki, and the noodles were extra chewy, which made it even tastier 👍 Whisk up the egg that comes with it and dip the sukiyaki in — savory, clean, and so good!!!

The noodles stayed chewy and didn't get mushy to the last bite, which made the texture really satisfying. A perfect match to eat alongside the pork cutlet 🩷

The Ginza Ryoko mixed set (1.5 servings), ₩14,500, comes with pork cutlet, fish cutlet, potato croquette, and shrimp tempura all on one plate. Gin Jaryoko's pork cutlet comes with demiglace sauce.

I usually don't like too much sauce and prefer dipping-style Japanese katsu, but Gin Jaryoko's sauce was so good. The fish cutlet even came with tartar sauce — everything was thoroughly soaked in sauce, and my partner and I kept saying it was delicious haha. Good call going with the 1.5 portions ˇ∀ˇ✌️

Crispy outside, juicy meat inside, all soaked in sauce — you get a mouthful of rich flavor with every bite, and a little mustard on top cuts through the richness. A perfect match between the crispy coating and the deep demiglace sauce 🫶
