When eating out with a baby, the food matters, of course, but I also look closely at whether the atmosphere lets us eat comfortably with a child, whether there are dishes the child can eat, and whether it is a good place for families. ☺️ Jeongwon Galbi had a varied menu and seemed to have a family-friendly atmosphere, so we gave it a try. When dining out with a baby, convenient parking matters just as much as a restaurant's atmosphere. Jeongwon Galbi shares its parking lot with Patio and Somunnan Paldang Naengmyeon, so parking was not difficult and we could visit comfortably. 👍🏻 There was a Catchtable kiosk at the entrance. Luckily, we waited only about 10 minutes, roughly the time it took to clear a table, before going in. When we visited, we could actually see lots of families dining there. The restaurant also has room-style areas without doors, which looked good for eating a little more comfortably as a family or gathering with several people. It had an atmosphere well suited to meals with parents, family occasions, and group meetups too. For visitors like us with a baby, it is also important that the space is not too cramped or hectic. Jeongwon Galbi felt comparatively spacious, so it was less of a burden to eat there with an 18-month-old. They also had high chairs, which made visiting with a baby convenient. Haha. Everything was nicely prepared, and I especially liked the fresh kimchi and seasoned raw crab. The seasoned raw crab cannot be refilled, though; you have to purchase more. So we refilled the delicious fresh kimchi instead. But once we tried it, the seasoning was not as strong as expected and the sweetness was not excessive, so it was fine to eat with our baby. The marinade had soaked into the meat just enough, creating a gently sweet and savory flavor when grilled. It was not aggressively sweet or salty, so it was easy to enjoy. The nicely browned meat was appetizingly seared on the outside while staying tender and moist inside. Marinated ribs can become tiring after a few pieces when they are too sweet, but Jeongwon's marinated grilled pork was not overly sweet, so it went well with rice and was tasty wrapped in ssam vegetables too. Doenjang jjigae is indispensable after meat! What I especially liked was that it was available as a dessert-sized dish. I love plum tea, so this little service was quietly delightful. Haha. Having a cup of plum tea to freshen up before leaving made the finish feel good too. There was also an event where you could get free bead ice cream for writing a review. If you are planning to visit, it may be worth checking ahead of time. 😊 ## For a family meal in Paju Unjeong with a baby Jeongwon Galbi in Paju Unjeong was a place we visited with our 18-month-old. More than anything, our baby ate well, which made it a satisfying meal from a parent's perspective, and I also liked the varied meal dishes and the smaller dessert dishes that were easy to enjoy alongside the meat.
