Let me introduce one of the great places to eat around Simhaksan in Paju: a jjamppong restaurant in Paju. It was so delicious that I can confidently recommend it >.< With spacious yet private seating and easy access, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a Paju family dining spot or a restaurant near Paju Premium Outlets.

Dolpanseok Jjamppong in Paju is a Chinese restaurant in the Simhaksan area, where restaurants and cafés are clustered together. It is about a five-minute drive from Paju Premium Outlets. Keep it in mind when you are looking for a good restaurant near Paju Premium Outlets~

I pass by here all the time, and since I had never noticed it, it seems like it has not been open for very long~~ The interior has that new-restaurant feel, too.

## Stone-plate dishes and plenty of parking

The menu was a little different from other Chinese restaurants. Nurungji stone-plate jjamppong? Chili-pesto stone-plate jajangmyeon? Samgye seafood nurungji soup? They immediately caught my attention~

![Guide to Dolpanseok Jjamppong's unusual Chinese dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-04-1r81n-740.webp)

Parking at this Simhaksan jjamppong spot is spacious right in front of the restaurant. Even if those spaces are full, there are plenty of nearby roads with room to park!

## Spacious, private seating that works well for family meals

Maybe because it comes up when you search for Paju date restaurants or family dining in Paju, couples and families were already eating there even though it was still early for dinner.

![Spacious, clean Chinese restaurant interior](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-07-oxr9l-740.webp)

The restaurant was really spacious and clean! Tables can be moved around freely, with plenty of seats for 4, 6, or 8 or more people. What I liked most was how private the four-person tables were. They are enclosed by walls, so you can eat separately from other guests. It made conversation easy. The interior is especially nice for a family meal of four in Paju.

High chairs are available, too!

At Dolpanseok Jjamppong in Paju, steamed rice comes with unlimited refills! There is nurungji (scorched rice) underneath the jjamppong or jajangmyeon, and the portions are big, so you might not need it haha. Still, it is a Paju date spot where you can eat as much as you like^^

At the self-service bar, there were onions, danmuji (pickled radish), and maybe buchu kimchi or green-onion kimchi.. haha.

## Dolpanseok Jjamppong menu and a note for solo diners

There are so many items on the Dolpanseok Jjamppong menu, so swipe through the slides! Set menus come with a ₩2,000 discount.

There was just one disappointing thing I noticed while looking at the menu... There were no one-person jjamppong or jajangmyeon options ㅜㅜㅜ Perhaps because the dishes come on stone plates, both stone-plate jajangmyeon and stone-plate jjamppong start at two portions. It is hard to eat alone at this Simhaksan jjamppong placeㅜ Visit for a Simhaksan family gathering and try both the stone-plate jajangmyeon and stone-plate jjamppong—that is the best option~

## Medium nurungji stone-plate jjamppong: how it tasted

The medium nurungji stone-plate jjamppong (serves 2–3) arrived sizzling hot! It came out incredibly quickly haha. It was piled high with bean sprouts~ I mixed it so the broth would soak through nicely. As I mixed it, I realized there was lots of seafood inside. The noodles looked springy, too~~~ It smelled delicious from the start and made my mouth water!

After trying it... I totally agree that this is a great Simhaksan jjamppong spot..! I will definitely eat it again!! It was exactly that familiar, delicious jjamppong-broth flavor~ I liked that the noodles did not get soggy even as time passed. There were generous vegetables such as cabbage, bean sprouts, and onion, plus plenty of seafood including shrimp, clams, and squid, making every bite satisfying.^^ We ordered the medium size for 2–3 people, and it was just right for three women to share.

## Ttungbosha and the Dontangchitang set

![Stone-plate jjamppong and side dishes spread on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-18-1tylg-740.webp)

Along with the stone-plate jjamppong, we ordered the Dontangchitang set and Ttungbosha, too! I love having side dishes >ㅁ<

![Ttungbosha filled with shrimp](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-19-14zmw-740.webp)

### Ttungbosha

True to its name, it was an incredibly plump menbosha (fried shrimp toast)... haha. How could this possibly not be delicious!! The crispy fried coating was packed with shrimp. It looks even plumper from the side. haha. Crispy outside and moist inside! Eating just one makes you a little full.. haha.

![Side view of thick Ttungbosha](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-20-1qgbh-740.webp)

### Dontangchitang

I was curious what Dontangchitang would be, and it turned out to be pork cutlet plus dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken) hahaha. Even though it is a Chinese restaurant, there is no tangsuyuk on the menu. Instead, they sell pork cutlet and dakgangjeong?! The fried coating was pure crispiness... Even without tangsuyuk, it completely satisfies that craving. If you visit for a Simhaksan family gathering or a Paju date, make sure to order a side~~

![Dontangchitang with pork cutlet and dakgangjeong](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-21-1u814-740.webp)

![Dontangchitang with a generously filled interior](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-22-ehua1-740.webp)

They are packed full inside! Both the pork cutlet and dakgangjeong were so tender. We packed up the leftovers and ate them at home the next day, you know!? Maybe because they were tender to begin with, but they were seriously delicious even straight from the refrigerator!! If you ask for takeout packing, they will pack it for you.

## Finishing by scraping up every bit of nurungji

The final course at Dolpanseok Jjamppong in Paju is scraping up the nurungji underneath!! Rice is hiding in the broth. Scrape up every last bit at the end. The stone-plate jjamppong has only a little broth, so it is similar to stir-fried jjamppong.

![Nurungji beneath the jjamppong broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family/paju-simhaksan-stone-jjambbong-family-23-1ckt5-740.webp)

After finishing even the rice, I was stuffed.. How could rice mixed with vegetables and soaked in jjamppong broth not be delicious?? 😋

It was such a good Simhaksan jjamppong spot that I absolutely want to revisit and try the other dishes! It seems newly opened, and I hope it becomes known as a great Chinese restaurant around Simhaksan and stays in business for a long, long time. Visit when you are looking for a restaurant near Paju Premium Outlets or a place for a family meal in Paju~~
