## In short

Songjjujip Magok is a webfoot octopus stir-fry restaurant on the 2nd floor of Central Tower 2 near Magoknaru Station in Gangseo, Seoul. The writer skipped all sides and ordered only the octopus stir-fry at 15,800 won, eating it with steamed egg and with perilla leaves topped with flying fish roe, then finishing the meal with vegetable fried rice. The heat at Songjjujip Magok sits at about Shin Ramyun level, so it never turns harsh and keeps you reaching for more.

Today I'm introducing a spot worth heading to when you're craving spicy stir-fried webfoot octopus in Magoknaru. This time I went looking for a jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) restaurant in Magoknaru and landed on Songjjujip! It's near Magoknaru Station and works well as a lunch spot near Magok COEX too, and since you can enjoy the octopus stir-fry alongside steamed egg, flying fish roe and perilla leaves, it's worth a visit for anyone who loves spicy food.

## Where is Songjjujip Magok, and is there parking?

![Entrance to Songjjujip Magok on the 2nd floor of Central Tower 2](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-03-1oj7m-900.webp)

Songjjujip Magok is on the 2nd floor of Central Tower 2 near Magoknaru Station, so it's pretty accessible. It's also close to Magok COEX, and since Magoknaru has a lot of office workers, plenty of people look for weekday lunch or dinner spots there — with octopus stir-fry on the menu, it seemed like a good pick for dinner or drinks too. Free parking is available in the building!

### Opening hours

Daily 11:00–23:00 (last order 22:00)

## Menu and prices: just the single dish this time

![Menu board and prices at Songjjujip Magok](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-05-17fej-900.webp)

Songjjujip centers around octopus stir-fry, with several side menu items you can add on. This time I kept it simple and ordered just the octopus stir-fry, no extras. Check the menu board photos I took during my visit for the full lineup and prices :)

### What comes with the meal

![Basic side dishes at Songjjujip Magok](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-07-137ug-900.webp)

After ordering, the basic side dishes came out first. Octopus stir-fry is great on its own, but pairing it with steamed egg, perilla leaves or flying fish roe changes the flavor completely.

## Octopus stir-fry at 15,800 won: how spicy is it?

![Only-dish octopus stir-fry on the grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-09-1tolb-900.webp)

Only-dish octopus stir-fry, ₩15,800. It finally arrived! The sauce looked well soaked in even before I took a bite, and the spicy aroma hit right away. The spice level I experienced was right about Shin Ramyun level — could be a bit much for people who can't handle spice at all, but if you like spicy food, it's not overwhelming. Personally, octopus stir-fry that's just plain spicy gets tiring fast, but Songjjujip's version was spicy in just the right amount, so I kept going back for more.

The octopus itself had a great chewy texture, and the spicy sauce went well with rice or other side dishes.

## Steamed egg and perilla leaf with flying fish roe: two combos worth trying

And here's the combo I want to recommend: eating it with steamed egg. Between bites of the spicy octopus stir-fry, a bite of the soft steamed egg neutralizes the heat, and the combination worked really well.

![Octopus stir-fry paired with soft steamed egg](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-15-c9er0-900.webp)

![Perilla leaf wrap with octopus and flying fish roe](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-16-2xuwh-900.webp)

Another way is wrapping flying fish roe and perilla leaves together. Put the octopus on a perilla leaf, add flying fish roe, and the leaf's aroma plus the roe's popping texture made it taste completely different from just eating the octopus alone. If you like octopus, this combo is a must-try.

## Finishing with vegetable fried rice and the last of the roe

Once you've eaten enough octopus, there's a menu item no Korean can pass up — fried rice! We ordered vegetable fried rice at the end too. Frying vegetables together in the pan with the leftover octopus sauce sent up an amazing smell.

![Vegetable fried rice cooked in the leftover sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-18-hgp8t-900.webp)

And here's the key point: throw in the leftover flying fish roe and fry it in too! The popping roe added fun texture to the fried rice, and with the octopus sauce well soaked in, it was delicious as always. Honestly the octopus itself was great, but after finishing with the fried rice, I thought, 'fried rice really is the truth.' The course of octopus stir-fry followed by fried rice seems like a solid choice when you're looking for a spicy meal in Magoknaru.

## Inside Songjjujip Magok

![Interior seating at Songjjujip Magok](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi/songjju-magok-naru-only-jjukkumi-19-yywyh-900.webp)

The Songjjujip Magok location had a comfortable overall atmosphere for dining. It seemed good for meals with friends or a partner near Magoknaru Station, and also fine for a work dinner or a casual drinking session.

## The verdict in one line

If you're craving spicy octopus stir-fry in Magoknaru, Songjjujip is recommended! The spice level was about right — like Shin Ramyun — not too intense, so I kept reaching for more, and both eating it with steamed egg and wrapping it with roe and perilla leaves were delicious. And the ending is non-negotiable: fried rice! Frying it with the leftover roe made for a properly satisfying finish. If you're looking for an octopus restaurant in Magoknaru, try the octopus stir-fry and fried rice at Songjjujip :)
