## In short

Bakerist Brown is a very large bakery café in a side street between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul, filling one whole building from the basement up to the 3rd floor. Driving there means using a nearby private parking lot (₩2,000 per 30 minutes, ₩15,000 for 12 hours), and an 8-piece Gangnam Sand set with salted cream coffee and an americano stretched into a two-hour chat at a big 3rd-floor table. Seats at Bakerist Brown go fast, so the trick is to claim a table before you order.

A huge dessert hotspot near Gangnam Station~ I went to Bakerist Brown, a bakery near Gangnam Station~ There are so many bakery cafés around Gangnam Station, but it's genuinely hard to find one with a whole 3-story building, tasty bread, AND good atmosphere. I had the signature Gangnam Sand and salted cream coffee and talked non-stop for 2 hours before heading home^^

- Location: 21 Gangnam-daero 102-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (huge, basement to 3rd floor)
- Hours: 11:00–22:30 (daily)
- Parking: use nearby private parking lots

## Where is Bakerist Brown, and how do you get there by subway?

Bakerist Brown sits between Gangnam Station (Line 2, Sinbundang Line) and Sinnonhyeon Station (Line 9, Sinbundang Line). Come out of Gangnam Station Exit 11 or Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, head up the hill past the alley by CGV, and it's about a 5-minute walk. It's right at the mouth of the alley so it was really easy to find!

## Parking near Gangnam Station: ₩2,000 per 30 minutes

![Parking rate sign for a private lot near Bakerist Brown](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-02-xevzx-966.webp)

There are so many Seoul parking lots that charge ₩8,000 an hour haha, so whenever I'm heading into Seoul I really do my homework on parking ^^ Bakerist Brown doesn't have its own lot, but there are several cheap private lots nearby, so parking wasn't a big burden~

The rate is ₩2,000 per 30 minutes, ₩15,000 for a full 12-hour day. Pretty reasonable for the Gangnam area~ If you're driving, you can relax and chat without worrying about the meter^^ We used the nearby Ttooray parking lot. The paid lot right next door charges the same~

## Basement to 3rd floor: what each level of Bakerist Brown feels like

![Bakerist Brown's red-brick exterior](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-03-b2lr8-966.webp)

The entire building is used by Bakerist Brown~ basement plus 3 floors, 4 levels total~ For a café in pricey Gangnam Station real estate, that's seriously massive^^ The vintage red-brick building gives it a classic feel too, and the atmosphere was great.

![Outdoor seating at Bakerist Brown](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-04-ad3u4-966.webp)

There's outdoor seating too, so this is the prime spot in this kind of weather.

### Basement floor

![High-ceilinged basement seating at Bakerist Brown](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-05-1boal-966.webp)

It's the basement, but it doesn't feel like one at all?? The ceilings are so high that it doesn't feel underground, and it was comfortable~ Really crowded though haha

### 1st floor

![Bakery case and order counter on Bakerist Brown's 1st floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-06-1u7yo-966.webp)

There's a bakery case full of delicious bread, an order counter, and a waiting area for takeout. This floor got me the most excited haha

![Clothing sales area sharing space with the café on the 1st floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-07-fv71l-966.webp)

Interestingly, they also sell clothing here?, so I spent a while browsing^^

### 2nd floor

![White-toned 2nd floor seating with natural light](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-08-1h37n-966.webp)

A clean, white-toned space full of natural light~ The cozy seats by the window in particular seemed to be the most popular!

### 3rd floor

There are big tables set up here that work for study groups or larger gatherings. We ended up at a big table because there was no other seating, but once we started talking, this spot turned out to be even better lol

![Large group table on the 3rd floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-09-173vi-966.webp)

It was full when we arrived, but by the time we left, turnover was pretty fast and there were quite a few open seats elsewhere too~

## What to do when Bakerist Brown is full

Bakerist Brown has an open layout overall so it never feels stuffy, and the natural light is great — but but but~~~~ the number of customers is seriously insane? ^^ No matter how big the place is, it fills up fast, so the moment you arrive, forget ordering — go straight upstairs and grab a table first, THEN order~ haha

## The bakery lineup made with French butter

![Pastries and salt bread made with French butter on display](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-10-wq2lq-966.webp)

This place is famous as a Gangnam Station bakery that hand-makes everything from scratch using top-quality French butter and good ingredients. The dessert lineup — rich pastries, salt bread, kouign-amann, croissants — is so packed that it's basically heaven for bread lovers^^

![Gangnam Sand set and drinks on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-11-9mz9s-966.webp)

We ordered the Gangnam Sand set (8 pieces), an americano, and a salted cream coffee.

## How does the 8-piece Gangnam Sand set taste?

![Box of Bakerist Brown's 8-piece Gangnam Sand set](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-12-1ohpg-966.webp)

This is the signature dessert you absolutely have to try at Bakerist Brown ^^

![Gangnam Sand wrapped in a soft biscuit shell](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-13-1uquo-966.webp)

The biscuit shell is so soft that one bite melts gently in your mouth as you chew it,

and above all, the cream stuffed inside is really, really generous.

![Close-up of the Gangnam Sand cream](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-15-mk5f2-966.webp)

The cream isn't artificially sweet — it's luxuriously smooth and full of nutty flavor~

![A bitten Gangnam Sand](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-16-1w4v4-966.webp)

It's not too sweet so you never get tired of it and keep reaching for another. Paired with americano, it's an absolutely perfect match~! This would also make a great gift.

![Gangnam Sand set with americano on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-17-6cmfq-966.webp)

It tasted best right when we got it, when the cream was firm — after a while the cream softened slightly. Talking is nice, but eat your sand cookies first^^

## Salted cream coffee and a hot americano

![A cup of Bakerist Brown's salted cream coffee](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-18-m6gtb-966.webp)

![Salted cream coffee next to a hot americano](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-19-yesfg-966.webp)

The salted cream coffee was something I was trying for the first time — my friends were curious too and kept stealing sips at first, but by the end everyone was raving about it lol

![Salted cream coffee showing its cream layer](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-20-1flrj-966.webp)

How does it taste? The first sip brings a slightly salty note, then a nutty, smooth cream flavor fills your mouth,

![Drinking the salted cream coffee](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-21-iqm37-966.webp)

and finally a bitter coffee aroma lingers. Three flavors in one cup? If you enjoy cream coffee, you have to try this — so many layers of flavor at once!

![A cup of hot americano](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-22-mitj6-966.webp)

I'm not a fan of super strong americano, but this bean wasn't overly acidic, with a nicely nutty, bitter balance — delicious. Paired with the sweet, nutty biscuit sand, an honest americano can't be beat^^

## Is Bakerist Brown worth a visit?

![Bakerist Brown's interior packed with customers](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-23-1j7xc-966.webp)

![Final interior shot of Bakerist Brown](https://img.superchart.com/images/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking/bakerst-brown-gangnam-sand-parking-24-fdjm0-966.webp)

With a huge, atmospheric 3-floor space plus tasty bread and coffee, it's no wonder this place is always packed~ It's pleasantly lively without being too loud, so you can chat with your group without worrying about it, and as a Gangnam Station bakery café, the bread quality was genuinely satisfying.

For anyone still searching for a good Gangnam Station bakery, or looking for a nice date/group spot with a good vibe, this place is worth recommending.
