Introducing Halls Gimbap Main Branch as a lunch spot for gimbap (seaweed rice roll) near Gyodae. I ordered a tuna-scallion + cheese-egg gimbap combo along with the Halls Dakgangjeong S.

The front of Halls Gimbap Main Branch has a big HORSE sign and a horse-head logo. Keep an eye out for this sign when you're heading over.

Next to the entrance there was a horse logo sign and a menu board. It's worth checking both the English HORSE sign and this board when you're looking for the place.

In front of the glass door there was a table with a checkered tablecloth and white chairs. There were also potted plants and flowers nearby.

The outdoor banner introduced tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) alongside the gimbap and dakgangjeong sets. This time I ordered gimbap and the Halls Dakgangjeong S — tteokbokki is worth keeping in mind if you're choosing something else.

## Inside Halls Gimbap Main Branch and how to order at the kiosk

Inside Halls Gimbap Main Branch, long tables run along the wall. The chairs are backless.

In front of the kitchen, menu photos and notices were posted in a long row. If you're planning to eat in, it's worth checking the seating style too.

There was also a separate notice about cooking ingredients. According to the store's signage, the egg strips and fish cake are cooked in olive oil. The sweeteners listed are muscovado and unrefined cane sugar.

Next to the water dispenser and warmer, there were paper cups and cup noodles. The warmer had bonito broth ready, with a note warning that it's hot. The broth isn't available for takeout, so keep that in mind for takeout orders.

There was a notice asking customers to use the kiosk for any payment other than cash. They said they'd call out the waiting number on the receipt when the food is ready. It's worth holding onto your receipt after ordering while you wait.

At the time of the photo, the kiosk listed the cheese-egg + tuna gimbap at ₩7,800 and the Halls Dakgangjeong S at ₩10,000.

## What arrived: half-and-half gimbap and dakgangjeong

I ordered the tuna-scallion + cheese-egg gimbap combo and the Halls Dakgangjeong S. Here's the egg gimbap, tuna gimbap, and dakgangjeong all served together.

The gimbap and dakgangjeong came on separate metal plates. This overhead shot shows the layout of both plates at once.

Just from the photo you can see how glossy it looked — really delicious.

The dakgangjeong had the sauce coated nicely on the outside. Inside, the meat was really tender chicken thigh.

### Tuna-scallion and cheese-egg gimbap, half and half

The two kinds of gimbap were laid out in two rows on the plate. The tuna-scallion roll was on the left, and the yellow egg took up a big share of the roll on the right.

On the egg side, the yellow filling filled most of the center. It looked mouthwatering just to see!

The tuna-scallion gimbap was packed with tuna, and the vegetables inside were crunchy and nutty — really tasty.
