Since it was past the usual mealtime, getting a table was easy, but the kitchen still seemed busy — dishes kept coming out nonstop. If it gets too crowded, grabbing a table might be tough, but since I came after the lunch rush on a weekday, I ate comfortably. It was so big I wondered how I'd even manage it, but when I tore it apart with chopsticks it pulled apart softly and easily. It felt like a waste to eat it in one bite, so I cut it into smaller pieces and wrapped them around the noodles. Between thick and thin noodles, I prefer thin, and these had exactly that classic ramen thin-noodle feel I like. Most ramen comes with chashu (braised pork slices), but this was my first time having ramen topped with jambon (ham). At first it felt a bit unusual to see jambon on ramen, but surprisingly, it went really well together. This too felt like too much to eat in one bite, so I tore it up and shared it — next time I'll add extra jambon. The broth is a rich, spicy garlic-and-chili-powder combination that's right up Korean palates' alley. Eating a sip of broth right after the noodles brought out a spicy yet deep, savory flavor that worked really well together. If you like spicy broth, you'll definitely love this one! Sometimes ramen broth can be so heavy or greasy that you can't finish it, but this spicy ramen just kept going down easily. The egg was cooked exactly soft-boiled, perfect for dipping into the broth. The bit of bean sprouts and what might have been seaweed also paired nicely with the noodles. Would've loved an option to add extra bean sprouts! Some dumplings are so hard they scrape the roof of your mouth, but these had just the right crispy-outside, soft-inside balance and were also good dipped in the ramen broth. ## Is Menya Seoul at Yongsan I'Park Mall worth it? Overall, the broth, noodles, and toppings all worked really well together. The jambon topping especially was amazing. If you're craving spicy ramen at I'Park Mall, this is the place! Now I'm curious what the clear broth version tastes like.
