Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a large space over 300 pyeong, decorated in white and natural wood tones. Riding up to the 6th floor and stepping inside, my jaw dropped at the open, airy feel. There was none of the usual buffet clutter — it felt genuinely sleek and clean.

Given its size of over 300 pyeong, it's not just hall seating — there are also independent spaces that function almost like rentals for 50, 80, and up to 300 guests, plus private rooms accommodating 14 to 200 people. Being the weekend, there were tons of families in groups, and the spacious rooms looked perfect for anything from a small first-birthday party to a group gathering or an office dinner in Nowon.

## Norwegian raw salmon sashimi and thicker sushi

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has Norwegian raw salmon sashimi on the weekend and weekday dinner menu, something you rarely see even at other Kuu Kuu Gold branches. Once I grabbed a seat, this sushi corner was the first place I ran to.

I took a piece of the raw salmon glistening on ice, and there wasn't a hint of fishiness — just that rich, savory fattiness and a chewy texture melting in my mouth. It was so fresh and delicious that I loaded up plate after plate.

The sushi lineup overall was clearly upgraded. The neta (sashimi topping) of flounder and salmon was noticeably bigger than before, piled thick on the rice for a satisfying full bite, and there was even shrimp sushi made with mudan shrimp, the kind you'd expect at a high-end sushiya, letting me properly savor its sweet, rich flavor.

## New all-day lamb chops and smoked duck at the hot food station

The lamb chops at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch are a new menu item available all day. Besides sushi, the hot food corner had a lot of eye-catching premium options too.

The lamb chops were impressively high quality for a buffet dish — the distinctive lamb flavor came through pleasantly without being tough, and the tender meat was fun to pick up and gnaw off the bone. Add in the chewy grilled smoked duck, and it was a combination that perfectly satisfied both the seafood lovers and the meat lovers in our group.

Marble ice cream at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch used to be a dinner- or weekend-only item, but apparently it's now been expanded to weekday lunch as well. After a hearty meal, I moved over to the dessert corner, where the sheer variety of cakes, fruit, waffles and more made picking a lot of fun.

But the clear favorite among them all was the marble ice cream! Scooping up a spoonful of the round, sweet little ice cream balls piled high in a cup gave a refreshingly clean, satisfying finish. I could immediately see why it's so popular with families who bring their kids.
