Walking in right at the 6pm opening, the writer ordered at the table kiosk and chose the Sokcho drinking set (53,000 won for 2–3 people) with whole tofu duruchigi (spicy stir-fried tofu) as the main, which arrived with baeksundae (boiled pork intestine), hoe-muchim (spicy raw fish salad), golbaengi (sea snails), potato-and-pollack, and pickled tomato, plus a bowl of rice and a corn cheese kimchi pancake on the side. The pickled tomato was a nice palate cleanser between bites, and potato with pollack roe — I don't even need to say how that combo tastes, right? It came out warm, and they peeled it for us right there. You can tell just by looking how crispy it is, right? They packed in plenty of corn cheese — you could see sweet kernels of corn peeking out. Their best menu item, the corn mayo kimchi pancake, was made in an upscale way too — crispy outside with generous corn mayo, making it a perfect drinking snack. Most of all, the space itself is clean and the bathrooms are spotless!!
