Being able to pick between ansimsal (skirt steak) and kkotgalbisal (flower rib meat), plus adding the good-value 9-course set, meant we got to enjoy a bunch of different things in one visit, which was satisfying. ## Gogi 9dan Chimsan Direct Branch: weekend lunch after Bukbu Library I'd come across Gogi 9dan Chimsan Direct Branch on Instagram and thought the meat looked good, so I'd already saved it on Naver Maps ahead of time. Then one weekend morning, after taking my kid to Bukbu Library to borrow some books, lunchtime rolled around and we decided to check it out. ### A whole second floor, plus a playroom for kids The restaurant was bigger than I expected. They use the entire second floor, so seating felt roomy. There were tables good for eating individually as well as group seating for larger parties, so it seemed like a good spot for both family meals and gatherings. The pork kimchi jjigae (stew) was the style simmered down with well-fermented kimchi, so the broth was spicy and sharp. The chodaeri sushi had rice seasoned tangy-sweet, and surprisingly paired well with the meat. After the meat, cool naengmyeon really is a combo you can't skip. There was also patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans) for dessert, a nice cool, sweet way to finish the meal.
