## In short

Eomma-ui Ttuksim is a Korean restaurant in an alley off Songhak 1-gil, near Yadang Station in Paju, Gyeonggi. Arriving by car on a weekday just after 11am, we parked in the private lot right in front of Eomma-ui Ttuksim and ordered the ttuksim rice set for three, 15,900 won per person, with cheonggukjang (rich fermented soybean stew), which came with bossam, braised kodari (half-dried pollock), pork bulgogi and a full spread of banchan. The table felt like a home-cooked meal at mom's house, making Eomma-ui Ttuksim a solid pick for a proper lunch in Yadang, Paju.

Hi, I'm Tanggoori, a working mom~~^^ I went to Eomma-ui Ttuksim, a great lunch spot on the alley near Yadang Station in Paju, packed with good restaurants. Turns out Yadang isn't just bars — there's this hearty place full of home-cooked flavor. A whole new discovery in Yadang for me.

True to its name Eomma-ui Ttuksim ("Mom's Grit"), it really felt like the table my mom or grandma used to keep setting out for the kids, over and over. So let me introduce this delicious lunch. Neat, flavorful banchan (side dishes) filled the whole table — good for the eyes, nose, and mouth all at once — the kind of place to go when you're craving a meal your mom made with care. I drove there, and parking was super convenient with the private lot right in front of the restaurant.

## Ordering the ttuksim rice set for three with cheonggukjang

We ordered the ttuksim rice set for three. This Yadang, Paju lunch spot genuinely felt like coming home to my mom's place^^ Or maybe more like grandma's table? So much food I didn't know where to start.

![Cheonggukjang stone pot served with the ttuksim rice set](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim-09-1prbf-760.webp)

No need to overthink it — go with the cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew)! I really congratulated myself on picking the one dish that's hard to make at home. Packed with tofu and vegetables, cheonggukjang is tough to cook well at home, and mine never tastes right — so as expected, Eomma-ui Ttuksim's home-style version is the best.

Scoop up a generous ladle of the rich, hearty cheonggukjang full of ingredients and eat it while it's hot.

## Bossam, braised kodari and pork bulgogi — plus the banchan spread

Turn your eyes to the neatly arranged ttuksim rice set, and a whole proper hanjeongsik (Korean full-course table) comes into view.

![Hanjeongsik-style table with bossam, braised kodari, and pork bulgogi](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim-12-1oco0-900.webp)

From well-braised bossam (boiled pork wraps) to braised kodari (dried pollock) to pork bulgogi — this is what hanjeongsik should taste like. Even the side banchan like yeolmu kimchi were excellent.

![Bossam wrapped in young napa cabbage leaf](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim-13-t2upb-900.webp)

Wrap a piece of bossam in a young napa cabbage leaf, add a garlic slice and some bossam radish kimchi, and take a big bite that stretches your mouth. Pure bliss.

![Spicy braised kodari coated in sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim-14-iowgd-900.webp)

The tender kodari meat soaked in spicy sauce is a total rice thief too. 💕 With so many main dishes, you can try everything and it's all delicious — that's Eomma-ui Ttuksim, a Yadang, Paju favorite!

The radish in the braised kodari seemed to act like a digestive aid, letting me keep eating rice bowl after bowl. I already love kodari, but as someone who also loves the braised radish that comes with it, this made it even better. The banchan here are so good you can eat two or three different ones with every spoonful of rice.

![Pork bulgogi topped with scallion strips](https://img.superchart.com/images/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim/paju-yadang-korean-lunch-eommaui-ttukshim-16-wjtr1-900.webp)

Top the pork bulgogi with some scallion strips, eat it with rice, then take a spoonful of cheonggukjang — the rice just disappears. The tofu in the cheonggukjang is so soft it practically melts, nothing to even chew. Every banchan here is excellent, and this was a truly delicious weekday lunch at Eomma-ui Ttuksim.

A hanjeongsik favorite in Yadang, Paju that also brings back memories of my mom's cooking — the table was so loaded it nearly broke, all made with the kind of care only a mom puts into a home-cooked meal. A great place for lunch at Eomma-ui Ttuksim in Paju.
