## In short

Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Department Store Gwangbok is a Japanese restaurant on the 10th floor of Lotte Department Store’s main building in Jung, Busan. I reserved through Naver and shared two sushi platters, a set for two, and yaki udon with colleagues; the varied dishes worked well for sharing and conversation over lunch.

Wanting a lunch that felt different from our usual meals, my coworkers and I chose sushi. With limited time at lunch, we reserved ahead through Naver and took a taxi to Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Department Store Gwangbok.

## Where is the sushi restaurant near Nampo Station?

The restaurant is on the 10th floor of the main building at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, 2 Jungang-daero, Jung-gu, Busan. It is close to Nampo Station, so it was not difficult to find. We went only to eat, but it is also conveniently located for stopping by before or after shopping at the department store.

When I visited, signs in front of the restaurant listed opening at 10:30, closing at 20:40, and last orders at 20:10. There was also a Ministry of Food and Drug Safety restaurant hygiene rating of “Excellent.” Since this is a place where you order raw dishes, that notice stood out to me.

## What were the wait and atmosphere like at lunchtime?

There was a Catchtable waitlist kiosk at the entrance. Because we had reserved through Naver, we were seated without waiting that day. We needed to return on time for the afternoon, so being able to sit down quickly was convenient.

The interior had a calm, wood-toned atmosphere. There were tables and bar-style seats facing the kitchen, and I could see the cooking in the open kitchen. There were quite a few lunch guests, but it was less hectic than I expected, so it was fine to eat and talk with my coworkers. Country-of-origin information was also displayed clearly.

## What else is on the menu, and how do you order?

We checked the menu and ordered using the tablet at our table. In addition to individual sushi, assorted sushi, sets, and full meal platters, there were sashimi, udon, momil (buckwheat noodles), rice bowls, and tempura. It was a good setup for a group, since everyone could choose what they wanted.

It was also convenient that we could request soup, ginger, danmuji (yellow pickled radish), salad, and tofu salad through the tablet’s staff-call message.

After ordering, salad, rakkyo (pickled shallots), pickled ginger, and tofu salad arrived. The salad was fresh and tangy, while the tofu salad was soft and easy to eat lightly before the meal. I had the pickled ginger and rakkyo alongside the sushi.

## How much were the sushi platter and set for two?

We ordered two sushi platters and the set for two. The prices and components I recorded during my visit are below.

- Sushi platter: listed in the original text as “Sushi Platter 2,” ₩21,900 × 2
- Set for two: ₩54,900; 16 pieces of sushi, chashu, and a noodle dish
- Choosing yaki udon as the noodle dish in the set for two: additional ₩4,000

![Full meal platter and set dishes at Moshi Moshi Sushi](https://img.superchart.com/images/moshimoshi-gwangbok-sushi-lunch/moshimoshi-gwangbok-sushi-lunch-17-f0ihs-900.webp)

## How were the sushi, yaki udon, and chashu together?

The yaki udon arrived sizzling hot, with katsuobushi (bonito flakes) moving on top. Mixed with cabbage, the noodles were coated in a salty, lightly sweet sauce. The crisp vegetables added a nice texture, and it was a good warm, rich dish to alternate with the sushi.

The chashu was topped generously with thinly sliced onion and scallions. The meat was moist and tender, and the freshness of the onion and scallions balanced the salty seasoning, so it was less rich than I expected.

The sushi included a balanced mix of egg, shrimp, salmon, eel, tuna, and more. Rather than eating one flavor continuously, it was enjoyable to choose pieces with different ingredients, flavors, and textures.

The full meal platter came with sushi, udon, tempura, salad, and more. Alternating the warm udon broth with sushi and tempura made for a filling lunch.

## Was it good for sharing several dishes with coworkers?

Once nearly all the food had arrived, the table was full. With sushi, udon, tempura, chashu, and yaki udon, it was good for sharing a variety of dishes with coworkers.

The tempura was crisp outside and moist inside when eaten warm. I also tried the shrimp sushi, mild white fish, and salmon in turn. At the end, I had the thick-cut tuna topped with radish sprouts; the soft tuna went well with their peppery bite.

![Tuna sushi tasted last at Moshi Moshi Sushi](https://img.superchart.com/images/moshimoshi-gwangbok-sushi-lunch/moshimoshi-gwangbok-sushi-lunch-24-1lik4-900.webp)

This lunch was filling because we could have warm noodles, meat, and tempura alongside sushi rather than sushi alone. It was a meal where we chose a variety of dishes to share with coworkers and had time to talk.
