## In short

Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch is a Chinese restaurant on the third floor of Time Villas Suwon, connected to Suwon Station. After shopping, we ordered half a Peking duck and egg noodles, wrapping the crispy skin in thin pancakes and alternating it with savory stir-fried noodles. A great pairing for two people craving duck and noodles together.

One of the places I often stop by to shop is Time Villas Suwon.

It is spacious and comfortable, so time really flies whenever I browse around. This time, too, I was taking my time until I started getting hungry and wondering what to have for dinner.
Then I happened to spot a Chinese restaurant, and its intensely red, exotic-looking exterior was impossible to walk past.
It was Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch (미림양장 타임빌라스 수원점).
I already love Chinese food, and seeing whole Peking ducks hanging out front meant I really could not just pass it by, haha.
It also felt a little different from the usual Chinese restaurants, which made me curious.

## Mirim Yangjang feels like a trip to Hong Kong

The first thing that catches your eye when you enter Mirim Yangjang is, of course, the bold red color.
The walls and tables are decorated around red tones, creating the feeling of stepping into a restaurant in China or Hong Kong.
It did not feel overly flashy, though; the open kitchen and wood tones mixed in made it more polished than I expected.
Right by the entrance, you can also immediately see roasted Peking ducks hanging in the open kitchen.

The moment I saw that, I thought, “If I am here, I have to have Peking duck”… haha.
You can even watch the staff prepare the duck and plate it in the kitchen, so there was a quiet little bit of fun in watching while we waited.
The tables are not squeezed together, and since it is a restaurant inside Time Villas, it looked like a nice option for a family meal or date after shopping.

## Ordering half Peking duck and egg noodles

Mirim Yangjang has quite a varied Chinese menu beyond Peking duck, including dim sum, noodle dishes, and stir-fries.
But we had come in completely drawn by the Peking duck, so we excitedly ordered half a Peking duck and egg noodles.
For two people, ordering a whole duck can feel like a bit much, but being able to order half makes it easy to enjoy alongside other dishes.
For us, half a duck plus one noodle dish was just the right spread. (There is quietly quite a lot of food, haha.)

## Half Peking duck, starting with the crispy skin

Finally, the Peking duck arrived.
It did not come out whole; the staff prepared it in the kitchen, cut it into easy-to-eat pieces, and arranged it on a plate.
The first thing you notice is the duck skin, gleaming beautifully.
The outside of the skin is crisp, while moist meat remains attached underneath, so eating them together in one bite really lets you feel the contrast in texture.

Personally, I think Peking duck tastes best not as meat alone, but with that combination of crispy skin and moist duck.
It was not as heavy as I expected, without an overwhelming oily feel, and the duck’s distinctive aroma was not too strong, so it was easy to eat cleanly.

## The Peking duck wrap with thin pancakes

The duck came with thin wheat pancakes, shredded cucumber and scallion, and sauce.
Simply spread out a pancake, add one or two pieces of duck, cucumber and scallion, a little sauce, then roll it up and eat.
It is the classic way, and I immediately understood why it is so good.
The duck is rich and nutty, while the cucumber and scallion bring crunch and freshness in between.
The sweet-savory sauce brings out that distinctive Peking duck flavor even more.
At first, I tried a piece of duck on its own, then from then on I kept eating it in pancake wraps, and your hands get surprisingly busy~~
Wrap → eat → wrap again.
Half a Peking duck disappeared faster than expected.

## The egg noodles were a treat too

I thought Peking duck alone might be a little lacking, so we ordered egg noodles as well.
The noodles were a bit thinner and chewier than typical Chinese-style noodles.
The sauce had soaked nicely into the stir-fried noodles, but they were not too soggy and still had a springy bite.
There were plenty of bean sprouts and vegetables for crunch here and there, and mixing in the egg on top added another layer of nuttiness.
While the Peking duck was mild and nutty, the egg noodles were saltier with that stir-fried aroma, so the two dishes were great to alternate between.
Whenever the Peking duck was about to start feeling a little rich, a bite of egg noodles felt like hitting reset.
So personally, I recommend the Peking duck + egg noodle pairing.

## If you want Peking duck near Suwon Station

Since you can order Peking duck starting with half a bird, it is an easy setup for two people to try the duck and enjoy other dishes without feeling overwhelmed!
It is also inside Time Villas, directly connected to Suwon Station, so it is convenient to fit in shopping or a café before or after your meal.
The atmosphere also feels more exotic than a typical Chinese restaurant, making it a nice spot for a date or family meal.
And, of course, the Peking duck was what stayed with me most.
It is hard to go wrong with crispy skin and moist duck meat wrapped in thin pancakes.
If you are looking for good Peking duck near Suwon Station or a restaurant at Time Villas Suwon, this is a place worth trying at least once.
Next time, I would like to try a few more dishes besides Peking duck, such as dim sum or other Chinese dishes :)
