I was looking for somewhere for a light lunch near Dangsan Station and ended up at Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch! It's a place that does both bossam and kalguksu, so it's perfect for a day when you're craving both haha.

Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is right in front of Dangsan Station, so it's really easy to find. It's about a 3-minute walk from Line 2 Exit 1 or Line 9 Exit 13. Just a small turn off the main road and the sign is right there. There's a lunch special standee out front — the five-layer bossam set meal is ₩12,000, which looked like a solid option for lunch too. There's no parking, so it's more convenient to come by subway.

The first thing I noticed walking into Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch was how clean the place is. Instead of the bustling, crowded feel you'd expect from a bossam restaurant, both the tables and the floor were well kept. The seats are spacious too, with plenty of room between tables, and the floor-to-ceiling windows keep it bright and open-feeling during the day. They said the group seating fits 24 to 28 people, so it looked good for company outings or bigger groups too.

That day we ordered the five-layer bossam and the dongjuk kalguksu. There were three of us, and the portion was just right for a simple meal. The bossam has a glossy shine to it right from the start. The pork was so tender and soft it practically bent when picked up with chopsticks.

The mu-saengchae (radish salad) that comes with it is genuinely delicious. It's sweet and tangy with just the right seasoning, so once you put a piece on a slice of pork, you can't stop eating it. Wrapping it in lettuce for a big bite was the best part too, ugh.

The dongjuk kalguksu comes out in a pot and simmers right at the table. It's really packed with clams, and the broth is spicy and refreshing, so the spoon kept going in. The noodles were chewy too, which paired well with the broth.

Eating a piece of bossam and then taking a sip of the kalguksu broth cleaned my palate — an unusual but great combination. They said the clams are sourced fresh every day, and I think that's why they tasted so fresh. It'd make a good hangover-cure meal too, I think I'll be craving this the day after drinking haha. Next time I want to try the spicy octopus set too.

## Is Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch worth it for three people?

Having bossam and kalguksu together at Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch felt a bit unusual at first, but after eating it, I get why they serve both haha. The pork is tender, the radish salad seasoning is delicious, and the kalguksu finishes things off with a refreshing palate cleanse — the combination works well. The restaurant is also clean and spacious, so it's comfortable for a bigger group too. If you're deciding on lunch or dinner near Dangsan Station, it's worth a stop.
