It is set in a converted house, and they had done such a great job with the courtyard-like space in the middle. The lush trees, gravel floor, and wooden tables all worked beautifully together, so it was lovely for photos too. Places that serve it are actually not that common, so the moment I saw it on the menu, I made a reservation haha. It had that lovely medium-rare pink color and was incredibly tender and clean-tasting, with no tough bits at all; it sliced through so smoothly, and I enjoyed it so much. Even the meat juices soaked into the inside of the pastry were still wonderfully moist, so every bite was satisfying... It came with a sauce made from Chodang corn, a sweet Korean corn variety, and it felt like a slight twist rather than a classic gravy or red wine sauce. The corn’s gentle sweetness supported the meat’s rich flavor so well that I kept dipping into it. Its pretty yellow color was a lovely point of contrast on the plate too 💛 If you are used to a typical Beef Wellington sauce, this will probably feel new to you. It would be perfect to spend unhurried time over a glass of wine at a courtyard terrace table. With its quiet, cozy mood, it would also suit booking for a special day. I want to come back with friends next time.
