## Where is Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch? Right by Exit 10

Today I visited Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch, a gyukatsu place near Seoul Station! Being so close to the station makes it super accessible, and I saw a lot of people stopping in for lunch. Let's get right into the review!

![Gyukatsu menu board with real photos outside the entrance](https://img.superchart.com/images/ichigyu-seoul-station-gyukatsu-lunch/ichigyu-seoul-station-gyukatsu-lunch-03-9nijq-900.webp)

There's a menu board outside the entrance with real photos, which is nice because you can check it out beforehand. I was really looking forward to the main dish, gyukatsu (sirloin)!

Seeing they even have a waiting machine tells you lunch and dinner get busy here. Lots of customers coming through means it's got to be good, right?

## Seating at Ichigyu: two-person tables for solo diners and families

As you can see in the photo, Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch's interior is mostly two-person tables, with a few four-person tables too! When I visited at lunch, all kinds of people were eating there — it's a spot that welcomes everyone from solo diners to families.

The tables are spaced out enough that it doesn't feel cramped, so you can eat comfortably — no need to worry about that.

## What we ordered: gyukatsu 19,500 won and steak set 19,500 won

The menu has short descriptions alongside each dish, which made it really easy to understand at a glance. I ordered the two signature items!

- Gyukatsu ₩19,500
- Steki jeongsik (steak set) ₩19,500

I was so curious how it would all turn out haha.

### Review perks: fried shrimp for a receipt, mochi for a QR favorite

They give you one fried shrimp per receipt review, so I'd definitely recommend taking advantage of that haha. And if you scan the QR code, leave a star rating and hit favorite, then show it to staff, you get mochi and cheese!

They lit up the mini brazier for grilling the gyukatsu, and a generously filled bowl of rice was served alongside it!

The gyukatsu and steki jeongsik I ordered arrived! They come with salad, sauce, and fried tofu soup (yubu-jang guk), which really helped round out the main dishes — I was so glad to see them haha.

I really loved how neatly everything was arranged — it gave off such a clean impression and made the food feel even higher quality. The gyukatsu, cut into perfectly even pieces, looked so delicious haha.

The steki jeongsik comes with its own steak sauce, and honestly that sauce was the finishing touch haha. Dipping in salt is tasty too, but for me this sauce was the best match.

## How to grill gyukatsu on the butter-coated mini brazier

You spread butter on the brazier to coat it, then put the meat on. Just flip it around a bit so it doesn't burn — grilling it yourself like this was a fun, different way to eat haha.

Watching the meat turn golden brown made me so eager to eat that waiting was actually painful haha.

### Best sauce combo for gyukatsu: salt and wasabi

Once the meat is nicely cooked, just eat it however you like. There's chili sauce, salt, and wasabi, so I tried dipping into each one — salt and wasabi together were such a great match. A pinch of wasabi on top was the best combo, so keep that in mind when you eat here haha.

The steak, cooked to a nice medium doneness, was so good dipped in salt too, but I'd still recommend pairing the steak with the sauce that comes with it haha.

## Is Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch worth it? Final verdict

I had such a satisfying meal today at Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch, a gyukatsu place I'd really recommend! Grilling the meat yourself in this cute little way felt fresh and fun to me. The meat quality was obviously excellent, and getting the set menu meant I could try a bunch of different things, which was the biggest plus. If you're looking for a great restaurant near Seoul Station, I'd recommend Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch!
