But there are several flavors, so it's fun to pick and choose. I was surprised how busy it was even on a weekday, but thankfully the wait wasn't too long, so I got to try it. Let me show you right away.

## Where Danppang Bakery is and where to park at Gugyeong Market

Danppang Bakery is inside Danyang Gugyeong Market at 36 Dojeon4-gil, Danyang-eup, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. It's open daily from 10:30–21:00 with last order at 19:30. Bread comes out from around 10:30am, and it may close early once ingredients run out.

There's free public parking near the entrance to Danyang Gugyeong Market. The free riverside parking lot is down a slope toward the stream. After parking there, you'll need to climb some stairs.

It was great that parking was free! No need to grab a parking ticket either, so I could browse and eat comfortably, and use nearby restaurants with ease. 😊

## How long was the weekday evening line at Danppang Bakery?

Danppang Bakery is open until 8pm, but last order is at 7:30pm, so you should go with plenty of time before closing. I rushed over worried it might sell out.

One person kept making bread while another handled customers, and even though it was busy and hectic, the staff were kind! 😊

Danppang Bakery has been featured on TV a lot. It appeared twice on the show Live Tonight (생방송오늘저녁), plus on 6 O'Clock My Hometown and 2TV Vivid Information — you could really feel the popularity of a local food landmark. ✨

What was especially unique was the black garlic used in the bread, which turns out to be a local specialty. Bread made with fresh local black garlic felt like it would be even more delicious 💗 Apparently it has richer flavor than regular garlic and is packed with nutrients that are good for you.

### What's inside the 14,000-won 4-flavor set

The set had one each of sweet potato custard, black garlic cream cheese, cream cheese, and plain. They were bigger than my fist, so it felt generous and satisfying. That made the price feel like a real deal. 💵 Buying the set was definitely the best value option.

The moment I opened the box, the garlic smell hit me ✨ seriously amazing! Actually, even in the car on the way home the whole car smelled delicious the entire time, and I kept wanting to eat it right there, you know?

There's filling tucked between the layers, which makes it look even more delicious! It already had slits cut in so you could easily break off a piece. You can also just tear it apart with your hands. Hehe

## Air fryer for 3 minutes: garlic bread as a filling breakfast

I tried it reheated in the air fryer for 3 minutes as instructed on the box, and the texture was crispy outside, soft inside — absolutely amazing. It's also fairly filling, so it worked well as breakfast too. A quick toast in the morning with coffee or milk left me feeling nicely full.

I worried the cream filling might feel too rich, but it was just delicious! Everything was good, but if you want clean garlic flavor, go for the plain, and if you want something creamier and richer, the black garlic one is the way to go.
