Pregnant and unable to have even one highball, the writer ordered Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, teppan steak and chicken thigh karaage, and got completely full on the food alone. Let me introduce our current favorite izakaya spot in Guro, Hoyo! We went a month ago right after my morning sickness eased up, and even though I didn't drink a drop, I was so satisfied that this is my write-up from the second visit ❤️ ## Hoyo Gudi Branch: location, parking and opening hours Hoyo Gudi Branch is 145m from Exit 3 of Guro Digital Complex Station (Line 2), on the 2nd floor. Parking is available for 3 cars, first-come first-served, free of charge, at 452 Dorimcheon-ro, Building 201 (Yesung Utopia 201-dong), Guro-gu — call the store's main number for parking inquiries. Hours are Mon-Fri 17:00-01:50 (last order 00:40), Sat 15:00-01:50 (last order 00:40), Sun 15:00-00:50 (last order 23:40). The crispy chicken thighs went so well with the fried shishito peppers that we ended up finishing every last bite. ## From an earlier visit: futomaki and donpeyaki I missed the dishes we had last time and wanted to order more, but I really felt like I was going to burst, so I couldn't. That futomaki in the photo is half a roll, but it's big enough to fill you up, and the donpeyaki is loaded with bean sprouts and pork, making it great as either a side dish or a meal. If you're looking for an izakaya perfect for open-air dining on a nice day like these, this Guro favorite Hoyo is fully recommended!
