This Samsong BBQ spot's strengths are Korea's first box-aged pork, a specially made cast-iron grill plate, and their signature meat-sauce dip. ### Side dishes and the self-serve bar at Neopttakjip The basic setup comes with salad, sesame oil, perilla seed powder, salt, aged kimchi, pickled green onion and peppers, and seasoned garlic scapes. If you need more, there's a self-serve bar in the middle of the restaurant with extra side dishes, ssam vegetables, ssamjang (dipping paste), and garlic. Last time I came there wasn't a self-serve bar — it's new, and it was convenient to just grab as much as we needed. ## Special mixed grill 800g + grilled vegetables, 75,000 won: five cuts for three The special mixed grill (800g) + grilled vegetables at Neopttakjip Samsong Branch is ₩75,000, serving 3-4 people.
